Burly Boyz Moving & Storage

I recently used Burly Boyz for a move from Edmonton to Calgary and I can't say enough about how smoothly everything went. They picked up everything on time, kept it all in storage for me for month, and delivery was exactly when it needed to be as I moved into a condo which required specific timelines.All my items arrived safely and undamaged, the moving staff were exceptionally well prepared, and Connor was great throughout the whole process to answer my questions and handle everything. I would use them again most definitely!

I just wanted to relate our experience with the Burly Boyz (and one Burly Gurl as well). We hired Burly Boyz Moving to get our stuff from Barrhead, Alberta, to Strathmore, Alberta in October of 2020. This turned out to be an excellent decision as they took most of the stress out of our moving experience.Their quoting process where you take videos of each room and upload them is relatively painless and super accurate. I was amazed at how quickly Milan from their office reached out to me with a detailed list of what he had seen in the videos. Their quote was reasonable, and there were no hidden charges; everything was up front. We knew what we'd be paying when moving day came. Milan himself was also very helpful with getting us more organized.On moving day Craig, Robbie, and Nicole showed up. They were all super courteous, incredibly helpful, and completely professional. We felt extremely safe trusting our possessions to them. And, yes, they're burly like the name says. You don't want to take any of them on in a fight when you see how much they can carry, (Nicole included - burlier than she looks!).Everything was very carefully wrapped up in blankets and taped before being loaded onto the truck. They did a masterful job of that; packing it so well that it was obvious from a look inside that there was no way anything would shift during the drive south. Unpacking was also painless. Even better, they disassembled furniture for us at our old home and put it together at our new place, which was included in the price. They didn't put a single nick or gouge into any of the walls or door frames of the old place or the new. None of our property was damaged during the move.This is probably our best moving experience, ever. My wife and I both highly recommend this company, and we will absolutely use them again without hesitation the next time we relocate. They're very transparent about pricing, extremely punctual, the price itself was reasonable, they are scrupulous about keeping their word, and the service from all the employees we engaged with was absolutely stellar. No complaints whatsoever.

There were many scary stories that came to light while searching for a moving company to use for our cross Canada relocation. Our move OUT date was in snowy cold December from a rural location north of Toronto. Our move IN date was in unpredictable BC spring mountain weather to a smaller ‘out of the way’ city. We also needed safe storage for a few months in-between moves.We contacted several companies and there were many bad service representatives that didn’t make it past the initial phone call. Understandably, all companies needed us to provide an inventory of our items to get a quote. A daunting task for anyone, but also informative of the blanket quotes from most places. Prices too low was too good to be true and the very high were simply not affordable. Then we found Burly Boyz. Their pricing landed in the middle. The service representative Craig, was super informed, friendly and reassuring. Our concierge for the move Alaina, was also very helpful. The move price is calculated by weight as opposed to volume. I personally packed all my boxes with a lot of care and wrap with this in mind. We had ALOT of boxes.The movers in Ontario were excellent. Super professional and worked so hard at loading our items on the truck meticulously. Jamal was a gem. As we suspected, the weight of our move came in under the estimated amount. We were charged appropriately and the credit was applied to our storage fees for the Edmonton warehouse. When we were ready to get our items delivered to Nelson, BC the company worked with us to schedule an appropriate date that worked for both of us. Once again the movers were fantastic! Tyler and Sam were very professional, friendly and supper efficient. In the end, we received all of our belongings safely. Nothing broken. Nothing missing. I hope to never have to make such a big move like this every again! However I would certainly call Burly Boyz if I did. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Multiple items were damaged. The quote was off by 1,000 lbs meaning the final invoice was $1,000 more than expected. Weight receipts were only provided after multiple inquiries and did not seem to add up. Would highly recommend NOT using this company.

Our move with Burly Boyz from Edmonton was smooth. The service was affordable with clear and detailed communication with the coordinator (Jennifer and Alaina). The guys at the move were very carefully in packing, and moving things around the house. We really appreciate their help, especially during the cold weather. Apart from minor issues like missing table end cap and some screws (expected), everything else is great. We will use Burly Boys again next time we move.

I was called and emailed over 10 times by this company upon my first request for a quote as I had not responded to their initial response. It’s entirely unacceptable that a company feels the need to spam or annoy a customer in order to get business. Please reconsider using their services.

Right from the time I requested a quote to the time they wrapped up our move, Burly Boyz communicated effectively, arrived when they said they would, we’re courteous throughout our whole experience and had an unbelievable work ethic. We are extremely appreciate of service we received and would recommend Burly Boyz. Thank you.

I had a great experience with burly Boyz. As soon as I called I had someone friendly and helpful to talk to. Communication was perfect the entire way through. They showed up early and finished early. The guys were friendly and answered all my questions. They were clean and careful with my apartment. The entire moving experience was stress free and handled without worry. I will be recommending this moving company to all of my friends and family.

We were charged an extra $650 because we weren’t able to make it in time for a delivery window. Then had the drop off of our items changed and cancelled 6 times. Made it very stressful and changed my work schedule to be present for the delivery that was cancelled several times. To top it off one of the movers told me I still had 10K owing, even though I had paid in full before all items were delivered. We never received a weight receipt either. I have used Bulrey Boys twice and will not be again.

We used Burly Boyz to relocate from BC (Vancouver) to Alberta (Calgary). From the beginning, our experience with Hailey to coordinate the move and receive the quote was seamless. She was easy to reach and very knowledgeable. The day of the move, the team that showed up was professional, efficient and friendly. The exact same can be said for the team that delivered our belongings. Everything arrived safely. It made the inter-provincial move much less stressful as dates and times were carefully coordinated and stuck to! The cost was extremely good compared to other companies and truthfully, for the customer service and experience we had - worth every dollar. Thank you for making our move back to Alberta so easy!
