Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Red Deer
I think it was the best experience in a while honestly. And the building wasn't cold for a change!The food was great, the steak could have had a bit better chat but was good, though the coffee always seems to taste burnt no matter when we come, but it fresh and filled often. The service was on point. The waitress was fast, and she was very nice.

Food is great taste wise, it's hit or miss if the cook actually knows what a soft poached egg is, but they're really good at medium poached eggs. Service is super and they're good with kids, if you get one of the older ladies, the younger ones have better things to do, it seems. Overall 3.5/5

Today was my 1st time trying this restaurant in red deer I have tried it in other towns and this one by far surpassed all the other ones. The restaurant was clean our waitress was amazing and friendly and the food was perfect, hot and fast. Best breakfast in red deer so far for me. I like the diner/ truck stop style breakfasts.

Out server from this morning is always so nice, and she remembers our names even after months of not being there! I always forget her name darn it, but she has glasses, short dark hair and is just so pleasant, we love her. Promote her!!! It's cozy inside, and roomy too. Lots of close parking. Great all around place!

Sadly I am giving this a 2 star for my visit.My server Madeline was great which helped bump my rating up.She was really friendly and came around just the right amount of times as to let me enjoy my meal in peace.Th establishment was very well kept and tidy, and the music theme was inviting.However…I was throughly disappointed in my meal. I ordered the Humpty’s Cristo and the turkey was really dry and the grilled egg dipped bread was also dry. I was hoping that the mozza cheese would have been creamy enough to bring the sandwich back for me but sadly it did not.

New Year's day was our very first experience here. Wow! I don't know how else to put it. The food was delicious! The staff were amazing! We will be back again and again. Two thumbs up (I'd give more if I had more thumbs haha)

By far the best service I received at a restaurant so far. They made sure to keep our drinks full and the food came out fast. I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The mixed veggies on my plate were the best part. Meatloaf was a little to spicy for me but it was still good.

Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Red Deer
My last visit was about a month ago. Good service, nice well lit atmosphere, easy parking. This used to be our go-to place for breakfast but sadly not anymore. Thought I would splurge and have steak and eggs. Ordered steak medium but it arrived barely above raw. Waitress took the plate back to have steak cooked to medium, then brought plate back out with only the toast and eggs which I finished while waiting for the steak. When the steak returned it was no better cooked then when it left the table so I sent it back and told her to forget it. To their credit they did not charge me for the toast and eggs.
