I harvested my first two Vancouver Island Black Bears in April 2022. I had the hides picked up by Harley & Sheila White, owners of Kelowna Taxidermy. Sheila got in touch with me in a very timely manner and explained the whole process of turning my nice bear hides into high quality bear rugs. Sheila stayed in touch with me throughout the process. I received my rugs sooner than had been estimated by Sheila (but even the delivery estimation was very reasonable, given the process involved). I could not be happier with the final products! Harley is obviously a master of his craft! Each of the bear's faces are SO very lifelike! And the fur is better than even I could have imagined. High quality padding and denim underlayment. If you have any type of game hide that needs the skills of a highly skilled taxidermist, I strongly recommend Kelowna Taxidermy!
