Tartan Interiors were subcontracted by our commercial/industrial building contractor to perform the installation of drywall and finishing for our newly built faculty and its 6,000 sq/ft office space. The quality of work was substandard and they had to be called back to refinish certain areas. One could clearly see the raised seaming areas of the drywall board, corner beads in areas were out as much as 3/7 of an inch at the floor making the walls appear bowed, window boxes in areas were higher than the window frame at one end and lower at the other. Large gobs of drywall compound were never sanded to finish quality, and on some corners you could clearly see the metal corner bead through the compound.And I should also mention that they are very messy, care was not taken to place paper protection on newly laid floors. While I know it seems inherited that those working in the trades don’t know how to use a broom, leaving piles of empty compound bags and buckets of water left behind is not ideal…. I have seen children learning to eat that weren’t as messy.Needless to say we are not happy and they do not do our contractor who we have used for all our construction projects for years any justice.
