The eggs Benny were unbelievable. My wife had an omelette filled with the freshest of veggies. The owner accommodated my wife’s allergies and gluten intolerance. 10/10. If you are in the area, you must try this hidden gem. Oh and the fresh cinnamon buns are a must take home add on.

I met a friend here today and this is a lovely location. The baked goods looked very nice. My friend had a sandwich with an iced tea for $20. I opted for the borscht at $7. which included a baked cheese biscuit. The soup was brown. It looked like French onion soup. It was terrible. I want to like this place, but first impression not great.

Good sandwich and soup, fresh ingredients, quick and friendly service. Eating area is animal friendly too!

Arrived at 2:30pm and told by the young lady serving that the kitchen was not taking orders and they close 2:45pm even though stated on Google, and displayed on their door, closes at 3pm. We said we would choose a cake instead to take away. Unbelievably, while we were looking at the cake display, this young woman proceeded to cling wrap all the cakes so none could be chosen. Basically she non-verbally told us to get lost. Not a great way to treat your local patrons. Previously when we visited there was a more mature woman serving and she was very hospitable and helpful. So this was disappointing and rude behavior on this occasion.

Pleasant environment and a nice menu but staff are struggling a bit. Hopefully they get better with some more experience.

It was my first time inside this restaurant. For long time residents of Vernon, this is where Red Barn relocated to from Polson Mall. However, it has changed ownership over time.Because my dad was such a big Red Barn fan, he wanted to come here. It was our first time going out to eat together just the two of us in a really really long time.I had three pancakes, hashbrowns, and a Boylan soda for approximately 16 dollars after tax (pancakes were $8, hashbrowns were $3, and the Boylan soda was $3.50 before tax).The pancakes were really good. However, the hashbrowns didn't have any cheese on them. There wasn't any flavour to them, and the portion was smaller than expected.That's the only negative thing I can say.I love the venue though. Tons of baked goods, jams, and pierogis being sold. There's a big section for pre-made stuff.There is about ten tables for seating indoors and a lovely back garden with approximately twenty tables.After we were done eating we walked around the neighbourhood for about twenty minutes.Staff was working hard. They have signs that they are hiring everywhere, and somebody new was being trained.Overall, it's a cute little country restaurant in a beautiful part of town. I liked the minor touches such as using playing cards to indicate a table. That was my favourite part.I recommend giving this restaurant a try!

We were there mothers day the food was good but they were very slow replenishing the food we never got a couple of items. And under cooked potatoes and eggs Benedict. I know they were short staff

My friend and I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast there. The service was wonderful and the food was top notch. It is a perfect getaway very close to Vernon in Coldstream and we were very happy for the experience. We will be going back. There is a super bakery there too.

Hidden gem. Good home cooked food. Everything was homemade I had the eggs benny with sourdough toast. The bread the jam the ketchup all homemade. We loved it
