At first we were not sure. But it is very kids friendly, they have a little museum and you can visit inside some train. Some are very difficult to enter in. It was awsome. And I have a lot of great picture. Entrance cost for a family of five: 25$

We loved it, came a cross this unexpectedly and decided to stop. Open space to walk and explore, you're not herded like you are in other museums. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

So sad to see the damage inflicted to these beautiful machines. The volunteers are doing an excellent job of trying to preserve our history.

I love a good railway museum! Unfortunately I visited in the shoulder season so it wasn't actually staffed. It's a small museum and there's nothing stopping you from entering the old equipment on site. I'm rating the museum only 3 stars because as a museum they should be protecting the equipment, but all the old passenger coaches are open to the weather with nearly all the windows missing. Not a great way to preserve the heritage. That said it brought back a lot of memories from a time when traveling by rail was fun and/or relaxing.

While I have never taken part of the tour, we have visited the trains outside and there are so many awesome sights to see! Definitely worth the visit!

Hillsborough is an artistic farm village set halfway between Moncton and Alma. You will see a variety of cafes and shops along the way from artisans selling unique and yummy finds! The scenery is spectacular and don't forget to take in the old cars during the week that gather at various locations! Thanks to the fire department for managing this year's spectacular fireworks display!

We found the rail museum by accident on our way to Moncton from Fundy National Park.It was unfortunately closed but they have a lot of awesome outdoor trains and a great looking train station.

Its a good place. Worth families’ visit. Great antique rare CN collection. Museum drives you through Canada’s old rail network, equipments, operation system. They got some luxury old passenger rail cars. An old steam engine.

Pulled in to get an icecream down the hill from this museum. Had hoped to buy an icecream but that shop was closed.Took my number one dog, Jack, for a walk up the hill to check out their displays while my wife and number two dog, Shyla, stayed in the car.It was when we started to go into the first building that attendants let us know we'd have to buy a ticket, way over at the entrance, to go into any buildings.Continued to check out the various outdoor displays on our trip over. Finally, reaching my wife where she moved and parked the car, we hopped into it and drove home. It was a long day of walking and site seeing that we agreed to come back to this site some other day.
