Campsites are semi private, some are very private. Good camp sites for camping. Short drive to the beach. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Great campsite if you don’t want to drive too far out of the city. It’s clean and there’s plenty of clean modern bathrooms and water taps/stations around. Clean coin operated showers and a nice little store that has everything you need if you run out or forget something. Someone was there fri-sun. selling firewood and was very kind. Plenty of signs when driving out of the campsites to go the beach/stores if you’re not familiar with the area.

I absolutely had to leave a review regarding the check in staff at the Grand Beach Campground. They were AWESOME! One gentleman in particular went above and beyond to help us when there was an issue with our reservation. His actions literally saved our camping weekend. I am really sad I did not catch his name but I hope he sees this because we really appreciated what he did for us. The entire staff in the office was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and caring in dealing with people who were maybe stressed out trying to get away from the city with everything they need and eager to get their weekend started. They really wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. The campsite was great. The only downfalls were that the beach wasn’t closer to the campground and that there was only one shower facility. But the staff made up for any minor inconvenience ❤️

Firstly, for a family campground grand beach is not a bad place. However, a group of friends and I went up for the weekend and there were a lot of skip day kids around the age of 18 partying and being rowdy. We are around the age of 21 and were targeted all weekend although we were following their rules and being respectful to the rangers. As the rangers had to deal with all these teenagers I can only assume they were on high alert. But, they took this beyond reasonable patrolling and we felt quite disrespected. Multiple times the rangers came in to our site when we were either playing cards or around the fire and told us they were checking all “young persons campgrounds” and questioned my friend on his way back from the bathroom, quite rudely if I may add. This did not ruin our weekend, however, this was one of our worst experiences in a provincial campground as a group of young adults. This is not generalized to all park rangers, however, when we are paying to come camping there is a certain level of respect and expectations that we won’t be thrown into a demographic to be treated this rudely.
