The Gym is Good and Well Maintained.However, Some of the weight training equipments are missing.Like Peck-fly Machine which is a must have.

The atmosphere here lifts your mood up !!With the VIU volleyball games going on, it's a different vibe all together. You feel motivated to go that extra mile :)People are nice here and everyone cleans the equipment after using them.The first floor has a designated indoor area for soccer, volleyball and the basketball games while the second floor has the gym.Though it's not a big gym at all. It is well maintained and a great facility for the VIU students to use.The staff are really helpful and nice here as well

Well, it is good place and the only one indoor gym for playing basketball.But i have to complain about the floor using. I am a current VIU student, I like to play basketball during the week, but I meet three times that the school team came before 6pm, and asked me and my friends to leave, because they wanted to use the floor. As VIU students, we have the right to use the school facilities, not the school team has the priorities. Then, if the school team booked the time, plz, the school gym team put the announcements on the board or website.

It's a gym filled with mildy obnoxious 20-somethings taking advantage of the free student membership. Don't expect the equipment to be amazing but it does work. Also you will come here on the day Jeff and his five buddies decide to hog ALL of the weights and yes, they will leave them sweaty. But that's the price of a cheap gym I guess. Also the change rooms are just open spaces so unless you wanna change in front of Jessica and her five girlfriends who will all be judging you and your cellulite you're gonna be changing in the ever moist showers. So that's great.Otherwise it is a adequate gym.

My wife and I have been attending the women's volleyball games, the team is undefeated and it's always fun to watch. Admission is approximately $5 to watch.

Good gym has everything you could really need. Two squat racks are a plus. Dumbbells only go up to 95 though. Needs to be bigger for the amount of people that attend it.

I wish the student gym was bigger so I could work out and not feel like I'm in someone's way. Or maybe if there was female only hours? Some of the boys who go here make me feel uncomfortable.
