Very Bad Experience, NOT RECOMMENDED.I used towing service from Dhaliwal SS Trucking and Towing on Tuesday 12th July 2022. My loaded trailer went off the road while turning. I made the service call at 6:03 pm and sent credit card details. I was told they charge $325/Hr, which I agreed to.  A notification came around 7:30 pm that 2 more trucks were called in and the trailer was cleared off the grass by 9:30 pm. Soon after that, I received a phone call from the same guy to tell me that my credit card was declined. On Enquiring what the total was I was told more than 14 grand. (My trailer was neither towed anywhere, nor there was any sort of spill) On requesting a price breakdown, he told me that the dispatch had the details and it will cost me time, meanwhile if I don’t pay he will hold my truck and keep adding more charges. When I requested further I was sent an invoice with $11000+ total charges (no breakdown) and 15% fuel surcharge, admin fee, and Environmental charges, totaling around $14500. I tried to negotiate but the maximum he promised was a $1500 refund through e-transfer when I pay the whole amount. I decided to go through my insurance, which he was okay with but asked me not to show my first invoice to the insurance company or else they will decline my claim. The next day my insurance company sends me the invoice he submits showing 3 trucks at 7.5 hours each and a 40% fuel surcharge totaling 15.5 grand. I consulted around and realized the person was scamming me. My business partner told that person that we will be going to court and he suddenly agrees to negotiate the price. Long story short, we settled at 5000 dollars and when I asked him to send the new invoice for $5000 he started throwing racial slurs at me on the phone after that the negotiations fell apart.
