Please do not use this company!! Do not be lured by the advertised low rates. You get what you pay for. Terrible signal, poor customer service, months of outage with no reimbursement of monthly fee. Fraudulent charges to credit card with no consent. Thankfully there are so many better options for rural internet now.

As a response to Mike Skerratt’s reply from the owner Chris. I must congratulate Chris on his quick response. If giving a bad review was any way of getting a response, I would have done it a while ago. Please read the reviews!!! As he said a hand ill of outages, well he must have a big hand and well maybe next to some things it seems big but I stopped counting my outage emails I sent at 30….as he said only a year and I stopped counting. STARLINK or savior gives higher speeds and much better service. 4 times the speed of WISP. Thanks. Anyone needing proof, feel free to reach out.

Warning warning.. wisp will never take responsibility for Their issues!!Update again please go ahead and read my review from begining..We decided to leave wisp we could have left wisp along time ago but we did not want to go with bell or Rogers due to bad customer service and at the time WISP was fine.. but after 10 months of connectivity issues we went on wait list for star link perfect service.. today a young man came to remove the wisp atenna off my TV tower.. some how he disconnected my over the air TV antenna so now we have no TV . I call wisp to get them to send the guy back to fix what he broke and in true wisp fashion they take no responsibility..The wisp dish was on the same mast as my digital TV antenna..50 feet up..so now we have to pay someone to fix their mess.. read from bottom of this reviewUpdate.. service still sucks!! New tech support wisp has hired does even less to help.. do not believe anything this company says.. cat fish. Service.. service is not reliable. Service speeds go from supper and fast, to stop .. tech support limited to office hours.. no credit for down time..do not try and solve problem stay away!!Update 2.. NO CHANGE!! Been 2 months.. still trying to get what I pay for.. they told me today what I pay for is only UP TO service. I pay for standard aon barley get basic.. with no up load!!

Had WISP come out to install cable and dish. Installation was draped across the front of my house like the guy didnt care. Called them back and they charged me $85 to do it properly. 3 months later the dish comes loose and they tried to charge me again. Connectivity is not the greatest so if you run a business just be aware. Guess I gotta use crazy Musk and his Starlink if this continues to happen.

I had been with this 'business' for a few years, since there were no other choices available (the ones that were available were worse than WISP). In March of 2020 my service took a nosedive. Every night during peak hours (7:00pm to 12:00am) my speeds hovered between 0.8 and 1 Mbps, this went on for about a year. I spent countless hours with tech support to no avail. I understand how this technology works and was sure the problems had to do with their towers. I finally spoke to a tech (sounding exasperated, no doubt due to all the irate customers) who came clean and said the problem was being caused by a tower. A new one was supposed to be built, however it was taking an inordinate amount of time. He also informed me that he wasn't supposed to divulge that information, alluding that he could lose his job (all calls are recorded by the company). Around a year ago the internet picked up and the company began advertising greater speeds via new towers that were built. All was good for a few months then went south again. I was without internet for months after the massive storm in late May, nobody was answering the phones, only vague messages were left on their site, however they still charged me full price for services not rendered. I cancelled their 'service' over two weeks ago and was incensed to see that they took another payment out of my account AFTER I had cancelled their services weeks ago, not to mention there was/is still no service in my area. Conveniently, there is nobody answering the phones in their billing department. They sent me an E-Mail apologizing, claiming they would look into the matter, however I'm quite sure that's all B.S. As others have said, most of the five star reviews appear to be BS put up by the company. I've since went with Rogers, who has (finally) come to my area. They are great!! Avoid WISP like the plague.

Editing my previous 1-star negative review after. Not many service options in my area outside of satellite, so after failing via phone, I tried the website form and email. I got a call back relatively quickly with an explanation that they are having phone system issues. Sounds like they need to sprinkle holy water on their business based on the service outages and staffing shortages that I read in the reviews here. None the less. Got an installation scheduled for the next day. That alone gave them 1 more star. I am upping my rating to a neutral and will commit to revisit my rating after things are up and running. The sales guy, (former installer, I picked up from the call) on the line was awesome though. He gets another star for doing a bang-up job and putting me at ease. Give that man a raise! He may have been the owner himself for all I know.2 weeks after install and speeds are low and latency is high. Chris the President responded to my emails and has provided me service credits while they fix a faulty backhual circuit. Time to Repair is much slower than the bigger players but I'm pleased with the responsiveness and customer service. I'm holding at a neutral rating for now.Update: To Chris' word. Backhaul issue repaired and I was compensated via service credits for my poor service 1st month. I've been running for about 2 months now. Stable with expected speeds. Upping my rating to a 4 star now.5 month update. I'll maintain my 4 stars. Being a cottage property for me, my streaming TV and IoT devices (ie: IP cameras, smart sensors) are reasonably happy. Long story short, bad winter weather contributed to Intermittent outages I've experienced, plus latency and speeds can vary at times. This impacts my daughter's gaming scores and my Zoom calls. It's not wired city broadband grade internet, so adjust your expectations. I'm calling it country internet now. With that said, my urban location Rogers broadband has been spotty for the last couple of weeks. So 6 of one ...

After installing a tower at a 7K expense that WISP supplied our internet worked decently for about 4 months after that the service was terrible- while the support team were pleasant the owner never stepped up to speak to customers even after asking multiple times to speak to him.We felt like we were listening to a recordings, same old stories always upgrading , tower had problems, waiting for parts (I even offered to find the parts for them) , only one field technician. It was absolutely exhausting dealing with them.We had no choice but to move on ...thankfully we have decent service now.

I would give half a star if possible. If you want internet part of the time and the owner Chris who is full of excuses, by all means. Would be more reliable on dial up.

Absolute worst service. Locking in contracts with terrible performance and withdrawing funds after contract expires seem to be the standard practice. They have no communication skills and take zero care of their customers. Not surprising they lost our entire street (and still don’t care). Please be warned that any review over 1 here cannot possibly be legitimate.Fastest response ever after posting one star review. Classic poor service. Called a liar in this forum. Next level poor business.“on January 15th 2023 will be your final contract bill, and our contracts do NOT renew automatically.” Billing error?Thank you Tayla (the only person who has tried to own any responsibility) for the refund. I (not WISP) had to send multiple emails and make numerous phone calls over months to get here. Seems to be the WISP way by all the customer and former customer feedback.WISP clearly your keyboard abilities far exceed your customer service skills. Thanks again WISP

So the internet service started out good. Then we began to have issues. Call and they would fix the speed/connection issues. Til next time. It happened a lot. Then they stopped answering the phones. Got tired of the issues. Cancelled 1 1/2 years ago. Tried in vain to get them here to pick up there radio receiver etc. Was located very high up in a peak. Made appointments they would cancel last minute, more than once. Then low and behold today (Remembrance Day) some guy calls and leaves a message about wanting to take it down. I’ve had no communication with anyone from WISP in 1 1/2 yes. Surprised to say the least. I was at a local service and had my phone on silent, when I noticed the call, I called him back, he was already in the process of doing it. Without my permission to be on the property, as I had requested to be there, 1 1/2 years earlier. Quite frankly he was a bit rude and tart, said he didn’t need my permission etc, etc. He left four large dark putty filled “repairs” on my light siding. Left the cable wire curled up and secured to the siding as well. Looks awful. Save yourself some headaches. Look elsewhere for your internet service. Lousy company. Lousy service. No communication. If I could give a zero I would.
