Grotto Hair Studio

When I first moved to Stratford I was looking for haircut and I decided to give Grotto a try. I loved the atmosphere and the knowledgeable staff and welcoming spirit of the salon. I was so appreciative of their suggestions and grateful that they were not pushy on making the sale of their outstanding products. I was honest with my stylist but my lack of styling abilities and she listened me which was refreshing. No shame here!! Would definitely recommend Grotto. Fantastic place to be pampered

I have been going to Grotto for my hair needs for the last few years. The staff are always so friendly and very knowledgeable. Jill works very hard making sure her staff are up to date with all the current hair trends. I always look forward to my appointments with Jessica and the scalp massage always takes it to the next level!

Out of every place I have ever visited in my life for getting my haircut, I feel the most comfortable here.I'm not normally one to keep up with coloring my hair, but that has since changed since I found Grotto on York.It started with a trip in for my son's first haircut&I loved the atmosphere&all the stylists that I saw; how they interacted with every client was such a wonderful thing to see. They were all so personal&really made for a wonderful experience for him that I wanted to try it for myself.I have since been in twice, once with my step daughter, &we plan on coming back again everytime.No second guessing, the best experience you will ever have!

I just moved to the area recently and decided to try out Grotto— I was not disappointed. My whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. From booking my appointment, arriving and throughout, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Livia was so amazingly kind, patient and helpful, not to mention so skilled at what she does. Her attention to detail, product knowledge, helpful tips and all around genuine personality made for such a great experience. I left with one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. I will be back :)

Grotto is truly one of the best salons Stratford, Ontario has to offer. It is home to the most dreamy spaces with bright windows, a modern feel while still maintaining the buildings overall charm. The level of training and expertise the stylists have and maintain is exceptional and they go above and beyond. Your overall experience at Grotto whether you are going for a service or simply shopping for products online or in their boutique store you will be treated wonderfully. The bonus samples and treats aren’t so bad as well!

I had an absolute amazing and refreshing experience at Grotto today. Chanelle was my stylist and she did a beautiful job. I left feeling like a movie star! I was absolutely amazed by her thoughtful questions, and could not believe she styled my hair so nicely without using heating tools. I always use a straightener and she shared tips and tricks to accomplish a similar,(better) look with blow drying and brush! Wow! Thank you Chanelle for my self care Saturday, you have uplifted my day!

Literally cannot say enough good things about this beautiful salon and its employees. Had the best hair treatment, cut and style that I’ve had in well over a decade. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommending. Wonderful experience.

Over the last few years, I have purchased some incredible products. Jillian and her staff guided me to the products that best suited my hair type and my wants. When I went in recently, I was guided to a new shampoo as y hair type changed after having a baby-- most places would not notice the hair changing and making sure you get the best product.--. The ladies at Grotto truly care about their clients meeting their needs with everything hair!!

I recently inquired about the Kerastase scalp salt scrub on Instagram and was so impressed at the speed at which my questions were answered. Jillian was so helpful and helped me to determine which one to buy. I ended up going with the blue one and placed an order online. It was ready for me to pick it up so quickly and there were some other amazing samples they put in my bag as well! The salt scrub a has been a GAME CHANGER for my hair. I cannot recommend it enough! I used to have quite oily hair and would only be able to go 2 days max in between washing but I can now wash my hair once a week and it does not even start to get greasy until day 7. I also have quite fine hair and this product has been amazing for my volume and texture! I just love it!!! I would absolutely recommend this product and Grotto to everyone!!

I have been a client of Grotto's for many, many years, and have yet to have a disappointing experience there. The staff are super friendly, professional, and great at what they do! The space is bright, clean, and inviting. I don't have a lot of hair (seems to be less and more gray every year!), but every experience I have with Grotto is a great one and leaves my hair looking as great as possible!Thanks so much to Jillian and her amazing team, including Leah Anne, who is the fantastic stylist who I see most regularly!
