Karis is a wonderful teacher. She has taught my son piano since January 2020. I have seen such improvements in his abilities and she teacher in a way that fosters the learners interests and creativity. Through COVID she made herself available virtually which was so hard for both her and my sons but it helped to give normalcy to their routines. I highly recommend Karis as a piano, guitar or voice teacher, as I’ve seen all her students perform in these different areas at recitals!

Karis Wiebe is truly one of the finest vocalists in Winnipeg. She conducted our church children’s choir which my daughter took part in. Karis then became her private vocal instructor. My daughter loved her lessons which were a combination of fun and top quality instruction!Semi-private lessons were particularly beneficial with a focus on teaching singing harmony. My daughter was consequently offered solo roles both in her elementary and middle school concerts. She was also offered solo roles in various local theatre performances. Karis helped me to prepare for my voice audition to the CMU music program. She creates a relaxed environment that is great for any student that may be a bit shy, or not yet confident in their abilities. Karis also has a wide range of experience, that is a great asset to any potential student, as vocal performer as well as a choral conductor and teacher.

I have sung in choirs that Karis conducted and she is very fun to work with and easy to follow. I love her choices of music! She knows how to get the best sound out of a group of non-auditioned singers, which can be very challenging, I think. I also sang in a choir with Karis for many years and she has the singing voice of an angel. She is humble, hard working, creative, and a joy to be around!
