Very delicious Burritos - good and very tasty selection of proteins (jax chicken, pulled beef, pulled pork and more). Some of the best Mexican food in Halifax. Will definitely be back. My family of four all agree!

Love burrito jax been going for years faithfully but this location is going downhill. The toppings are not fresh like they used to be and the staff are not well trained. There are always new staff every time I go in. They even tell me they haven’t seen the owners in weeks and they don’t get trained on gift cards. I brought a gift card there 4 times now and no one knows how to use it. It’s really annoying. I don’t know if I will keep going. Parking is also really bad but I wouldn’t care about that if I got my burrito how I wanted with good service. I got so many people to go to burrito jax in general over the years and it’s just really disappointing to see this because I don’t want to lose another location in the city but I don’t think this one will last the way they are going. The downtown location is and always has been the best location as the owners are actually present.

I always order from this place as they have the best quality of sauces and freshly chopped veggies. I have recently ordered vegetarian burrito and veggie bowl with burrito sauce and bucking hot. It was the best burrito as always. Habanero sauce is the best, it gives a little kick to the burrito. Staff are really friendly. Worth spending the money. Must go to place.

I usually get the vegetarian burrito here which is delicious. It's just strange that there's only like a 10 or 20c difference between the price of the veggie burrito as compared to the ones with meat. The prices are still good though.Parking and finding a place to sit can be tricky.

Not clean inside. The grill is dirty, the walls are dirty and the staff ambition is low.This place used to rock and now it's pretty meh/ew. Zoom in to pick to see crusties on knives, grime on walls and sticky grill surfaces.

Edit: take a look at the most recent reviews before ordering...Burrito Jax (Kempt Road) used to be a go-to place for delivery. We've noticed declining quality over the last year or so, but until now they still usually delivered an acceptable meal.Our most recent order, last night, was a disaster. Out of two (2) Burrito Bowls and two (2) Burritos: 3/4 were missing toppings (e.g. sour cream, smashed beans), 1/4 had burned rice and large bitter end chunks of lettuce (not shredded). 2/4 people barely ate their burrito bowl, while 2/4 folks had their order... not sit well.1/4 of the meals were finished and satisfactory (albeit missing a topping), so I cannot rate 0 stars... but you can decide for yourself what level of satisfaction and taste you expect from where you order.For our part, this will certainly be the last time we order from here.Edit 2: Per the below reply, I looked for an email address on the Burrito Jax website. I don’t usually post reviews but I had to for this time bc I was utterly disappointed. I went to this exact burrito jax for the second time. First time the owner prepared the order for me and he was nice and the portion sizes were great but this time I got the quesadilla with negligible amounts of meat, veggies and cheese. I understand that they’re there to make profits but I wouldn’t wanna spend $20 for literally no beans, no veggies, no cheese and no meat.

The most terrible experience of a Burrito I ever had the store was dingy and dirty looking the burrito tasted like rice & spice ...BIG difference from the last time I was there ..I will be going elsewhere from now on ...NICE TO SEE HOW THE MANAGER LEFT A COMMENT FOR THE ONE GOOD REVIEW BUT NOTHING ABOUT THE COMPLAINTS VERY SAD ....

This was our first experience at burrito Jax. The atmosphere was not as clean as it could have been. Most of all, the burritos do not taste like burritos! We had the large pepper steak burritos ( which by the way you couldn't taste, feel, nor chew the steak, since it was so small you could just swallow like soup) and I tried to call and the machine was full so either alot of people complain or they just dont answer their messages and I don't even like to complain. However when you spend 30 bucks on 2 burritos that you would expect to have taste, but there was no taste of Mexican, muchless we could've went to taco bell and spent 85% less and got slammin' burritos....NEVER AGAIN! the cashier was nice and friendly but the ingredients were all, almost empty only one that was full was green pepper. I'm assuming many people don't eat at this establishment. I will be contacting the manager! Even my fiancé was disgusted. We still have our food because it was that gross we just went to sleep without eating! In the photo is just one top piece cut off of my fiancé's burrito from the few bites he did attempt to eat! They have definitely gone downhill since the reviews I read and the pics I had seen prior to making the decision to try!

I ordered a couple pulled-beef burritos here. The meat was tender and there was lots of it (see pic), the sauces were as described on the website, the staff was friendly, and my order was ready for pickup in under ten minutes. I am one happy (and overly-stuffed) camper. My only wish would be for them to have a killer spicy sauce that isn’t sweet. But it’s takeout; you can always add extra hot sauce from your own stash when you get home.
