Welsford Golf Course

I've been golfing here for almost 20 years and still love it. It's gone from a 9 hole 'just for fun' course to a beautiful 18 hole gem nestled in picturesque Welsford. The difficulty level hits the sweet spot, challenging enough for the seasoned vet, but also well suited to novices. Al Barr and his staff take equally excellent care of both the course and their customers. Very affordable, easily walkable.

This course is Great! I tag along with my husband , sometimes walk it. Surrounded by scenic beauty, the course for most part is free of steep hills. Al & his staff team are amazing! Always friendly and welcoming. We love Welsford.

Couse is in great shape and well maintained. I recommend this course to anyone looking to get out and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

Nice golf course, play this course multiple times per season. Practice putting green but no driving range/nets. Clubhouse has snack foods and some adult beverages but no meal type food.

Course is in fantastic shape. Greens are immaculate and rough is kept a reasonable height. Great value for a round. I got a membership for $600 taxes incl. A round is about $40 and its half price after 230pm daily and all day tuesdays. Owner and staff are very polite and helpful. A hidden gem and reprieve from playing westfield or rockwood. Its a full 18 that you can use every club in a round. Value cant be beat. Scenic and serine

Great Public golf course with friendly staff. Got on after a 1 hour frost delay to what turned out to be a great round in 17 deg temps. Beautiful fall colors and a round of golf finished the season on a high note.

Scenery in the area is beautiful but the golf course was in sub-par condition.Fairways were very uneven with ups and downs every few feet, making the balls trajectory after each bounce a guessing game. Fairways were also rock hard with weeds growing up everywhere. There were mounds of sod in some fairways as if maintenance had begun on an area but had been forgotten about midway through.The rough was very thick and had grown up past our ankles in areas, resulting in losing our balls in the middle of some holes, as well as finding other lost balls in the rough.The bunkers appear to have been untouched this season as they are full of weeds and very hard, clearly had not been raked recently. Tee boxes were uneven, resulting in teeing off on a mild slope most of the time. Greens were very soft and quite slow, and the ball would take odd hops as it was rolling after a putt.If you want to take in the Welsford scenery for a few hours, and take a few golf swings, its a fine course. If you want to play golf, I would go elsewhere.

Considering all of the recent rain, the course is in remarkably good condition.

Cheapest and worst golf course in North America. Poorly landscaped and kept untidy. Landscape crew constantly in the way.$4.50 steamed hotdogs and $4 Gatorade should be avoided at the front desk.

Nicely manicured course with fast greens and challenging raised greens - beware though, we tried to book teetimes in advance of coming in for a family reunion and they wouldn't accommodate or bend on their tee time policy. Website showed no powercarts available but there was (this is a very difficult course to walk with long distances between greens and tee boxes). No beverage cart or any sort of lunch offering was also kind of disappointing, they are missing such a huge opportunity for growth.
