The Marine centre is small, but there was so much to see! Easily can spend an hour inside. All the marine life are part of a catch and release program, and so the tanks change all the time. Fun and educational! The volunteers are super friendly and knowledgeable!

Fantastic little aquarium showcasing the marine life found within Howe Sound! Catch & release so most critters get to go home after 6 months as well.The staff are always stoked to share their passion and knowledge with you

Awesome aquarium. Definitely a hidden gem of Gibsons. Highly recommended checking it out, young and old. Great time. Great staff.

Its only 1 room large but i ended up spending 2 hours here. Graham was very helpful, very informative, and fun person to talk to. The exhibit changes with time. Everytime i look at the exhibits i notice things i didnt notice earlier.

Visiting here is a wonderful experience for anyone. It’s a rare opportunity to spend time with ocean creatures. I left with a sense of awe. An enthusiastic and well informed volunteer, Valerie, was a pleasure to talk to and learn from. Highly recommend.

Amazing displays and interesting facts about the marine life of Howe Sound! There are 2 touch pools that my daughter got to experience, the volunteers are very engaging and easy to talk to. Worth visiting when you are in Gibsons.

Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre
So glad to spend some time here! My kids absolutely loved seeing the exhibits, finding different sea creatures, and learning about the waters off where we call home. We will be back again!
