My 3 daughters skated with Calalta from 2011 to 2018 - 8 wonderful years with coaches like Mrs Finney, Jeff, Tammi, Chantelle, Valeen, Danielle and Kim. These coaches were amazing - they just didn't teach figure skating they taught my kids about work ethic, practice, time management, about being coachable (listening, understanding and then executing), respectful, professionalism, kind and how to be a good kid in general. They provided feedback in such a way that the kids learned from it and went on to be successful in their own way.Dealing with Calalta has been easy - they responded to emails and phone calls in a timely and always gave great advice. The coaches are Skate Canada certified and know what they are doing as they follow Skate Canada guidelines - I mean if you want to learn to skate, you go to the experts. I would highly recommend Calalta for any age or skill level.

Just finished my first session of Canskate skate classes with Calalta today. A friend recommended their skating classes to me. I have taken 3 sessions of adult roller skating classes before this with another organization and Calalta was a WAY better experience. The adult classes were generally given at a time that I couldn't make so I was told to join the kids classes and I REALLY enjoyed those. The kids class format pushes you to learn a LOT of different skills by practicing circuits and I was surprised how much I liked the circuits! I did get to try one adult class where the format focuses intensely on techniques you are wanting to learn, each move adapted to your level and that was equally REALLY helpful. I recommend both types of classes! The instructors were great at breaking down moves and giving tips on how to improve. KUDOS to Brad, his daughter, Eugene and Sierra who all greatly impacted my learning! Thank YOU!
