Ammonite Falls
This is a well maintained trail with many improvements in recent years, including stairs on steeper inclined and viewing platforms. The falls themselves are very pretty and its easy to get to the chill water on a warm day. A favourite Scout hike.

Ammonite falls was great !!!Lovely 30 min hike from the Benson creek parking lot. I believe there are multiple entries to get to the falls but this route was pretty good !The last stretch has quite a lot of stairs but the view of the falls while you’re on the stairs and approaching the falls is worth it :) Recommended !!

Great easy walk depending on what trail you take. Lots of exploring. Plus you can stand at top of falls, on bottom on either side and even behind the falls themselves. A little bit of rope work but alot of fun if you don't mind getting a bit dirty and wet

Beautiful wooded trail to the falls then a muddy climb down. Bring gloves itll make the climb easier and keep your hands clean. Amazing falls and fun little descent down. Well worth the walk.

Best waterfall in Nanaimo enter from Jameson Rd off from jinglepot Rd there's a free parking lot there. At the end of the path to get to the base of the waterfall you can take a rope path down a steep cliffOn your descretion, sometimes when it rains the rope is unsafe to use, wait few days to dry before taking the leap. There's a sign now at this point telling people the danger of this rope path.

Absolutely incredible! The variety of plant life along the trail feels like being transported through different eras in the earth's history. The hike back up some of the hills is an exhilarating accomplishment.

Great moderate hike: 226m elevation gain and from the parking at Creekside Place to the falls and back is 6.0km.It will get your heart rate up but good cool down by the falls!
