PJC Jean Coutu

This JC is in my favorite in the neighborhood and I am a loyal customer who does shopping a couple of times per week…The only negativity is the behavior of the chief of cosmetics in this store.It has happened for me 3-4 times to go to the cosmetics section but this blonde tall lady ignores me because I am anglophone… I tried to get help and suggestions from her but she didn’t respond properly and then started talking on the phone in her own language… since this happened a couple of times, I decided to leave the review!I was quite satisfied with other staff and the store except this lady…I hope it helps to improve :)

I wanted to compare prescription prices with my own pharmacy. The pharmacist advised me that they can t give me a price without entering the insurance information. I said I wanted the base price, however it seems they charge according to your insurance carrier. i.e. probably charge as much as they can according to who your insurer is (like the US). If you are on the Quebec drug insurance plan you pay one rate for Quebec, if you are on a private insurer they must jack up the price. Why can t the government pass a law that everyone is billed a fair base prescription price. I stayed with my local pharmacy as it was too hard to get a straight answer on drug costs. If the prescription prices is like the over the counter prices probably not a good idea LOL

=====Update:After my wife went back to the store and provided proof that we had to capture photos from another place (on the day of the appointment at the passport office ...by showing a receipt), the refund was processed. I'd not change the rating as that still holds for staff behaviour.=====Pathetic behaviour by staff!! Speaking audibly behind my back in a language, they thought, I don’t understand - perhaps signalling that’s it’s all my fault!My wife and I captured a passport size photo of our infant on 11-Sep-2022 at Jean Coutu, Notre Dame. Firstly we had to wait for quite sometime (even though there wasn’t anyone ahead of us waiting to be clicked). We clearly asked the person who captured the photo if it was ok (because we saw some shades) to which he replied it was all good. The passport office rejected the photo.I went back to the store today at around 8 pm wanting a refund cos the photos are of no use. I was told I need to speak with a supervisor. I waited and another lady showed up. She later told that I’ll have to speak with another supervisor and that supervisor wasn’t available and that she’d only be available between 8 am and 5 pm. The whole incident, for no fault of mine, made me feel disrespected and was an absolute waste of time.Why should a refund process be so difficult if photos captured at Jean Coutu are bad enough to be rejected?I regularly go to Jean Coutu (including for purchasing perfumes). It’s likely that I’ll just switch to a different pharmacy if this can’t be taken care of!

This Jean Coutu Service is very Bad be careful when Black Girl is working as A cashier She is racist. i was not happy with her service. why did she do this ?

Since COVID, I have had the worst shopping experience at this Jean Coutu. Once I went to buy baby food, and at the checkout they told me I could only buy two items of a kind, even baby fruit source (all flavors included). My one-year-old goes through 2-3 pouches per day, and they only let me buy two of them??? So I have to go out for shopping every day during COVID? The second time I went into the store pushing my own stroller. With both hands occupied, I didn't take any shopping cart or basket, but simply left items in my own bag temporarily. At the checkout, the staff told me that I should not have used my own bag, because the items would get conteminated" in my bag (I bought those stuff for God''s sake!)

Excellent pharmacy staff—caring, kind, and helpful. By far the best at any Jean Coutu I’ve visited! I’ve always had good service in the rest of the store as well.

I went to the cosmetics section looking for a cream. There was a tall lady who was sitting on the chair and she didn’t even greet me. I could not find what I need so I asked her to help me, she did not know what are the products! The funny thing was that I was talking in English and she was answering me in French! I always have good experience at this branch but not this time.

Had an appointment with the nurse Tuesday, she was so nice and honestly made me feel so comfortable (I hate needles) and she made it seem so easy!! Went by nice and fast. Thanks for being so nice girl! I’m not sure if there are other nurses who work there but the one I’m talking about is the black lady. Tes trop nice girl keep doing what ur doing see u soon I’ll show u my bbl! Haha

I am a regular customer and to my great surprise today when I came to the store I looked for the cosmetic manager who normally takes care of me Lana, unfortunately she no longer works there she had a verry good service she was there listened to my needs and always gave me a good consultation and advised the right products for me, in my opinion they lost the best cosmetic manager, too bad she is no longer there :(
