Legal scam. They ask for steep administrative fees yet don't do any validation search, then they ask you for plenty of specific, hard to get infos in support of your document request. Kafkaian bureaucracy at its best!

There's no option for 0 Stars... That's the only reason there's a 1.This is government waste and poor service at its best. 8 Weeks and counting for processing a certificate.

After waiting 2 months for my babies birth certificate, I get a notification its been refused lol with no explanation..His birth has been declared and registered yet certificate is refused SMH

Notre enfant est né mi-février 2023, il est de droit franco-canadien. Nous sommes le 21 avril et nous n'avons toujours pas reçu son certificat de naissance. C'est pas comme si c'était un papier essentiel pour tout un tas de démarches hein, RAMQ, passeport, immigration, et même la Place 0-5...On appelle 2 fois on nous dit à chaque fois,ah mais on est encore dans les temps des 40 jours ouvrables..."Pathétique pour un service onéreux en plus."

If I could put 0 star I would. This province is forcing me to use my maiden name and is refusing to acknowledge my married name. As a woman in 2023 you should be able to chose the name you want...I called to ask the procedure to change my name. They will be changing my birth certificate completely, I was born in NB and they want to replace my birth certificate to include my married name and make it a quebec birth certificate. I cannot believe this is legal, it shouldn't be. This law" should be removed
