Absolutely not recommended. Set the stage: we booked for 4 days ahead flagging a severe food allergy in our party. We had to wait 30m to get seated only to be moved around 2 times within the restaurant and finally being able to sit down for our meal. Round 1, waitress spills water on us. Water was barely refilled all night. Round 2, no unallergic option. Round 3, after being ignored for most of the night we finally get our food about 1.5h after walking into the restaurant. RoundAs we get the bill we are laughed at and mocked in French while we spoke with the Staff all night. It is too bad because the food was good and served in a nice location. The young staff is naturally friendly but clearly not being trained by the more senior staff: we sincerely felt bad for them.

Location: At the edge of the village. You can walk if you're staying in the main part of town, otherwise they do have a small parking lot if you choose to drive. The place: Fantastic space that's located inside a house. The design and decor are phenomenal and their terrace is amazing. Also, great music. The goods: We started with the burrata, tomato, basil and balsamic vinegar. We were served the full ball of burrata, though it wasn't at room temperature therefore it was firm (not a huge deal - I just like when burrata is soft and creamy). As far as the tomatoes go, there was literally the equivalent of two cherry tomatoes cut in two, on the plate... For our main, we both ordered the seafood cassoulet, which was sinfully delicious and quite filling. There was a lot of seafood in there, and the rich, creamy sauce was just incredible. Considering how hearty the dish is, I would have preferred a salad or more vegetables instead of a side of mashed potatoes (there were a few veggies served with the dish). My mom wanted to order the chicken however it wasn't ready... Since we were full, we skipped dessert and ordered coffee - I don't know what kind of coffee these guys purchase but it was one of the best coffees I've had in a restaurant. For. Real.Service: OK.Price point: I personally found the prices to be a little on the high end considering what you get.

Excellent breakfast, delicious offerings prepared with quality local ingredients. Generous portions, and friendly service from the owner. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict (using the superb Atkin's Brothers fish) was sumptuous. We would have loved to try their supper menu, but they were fully booked on our night there. Will reserve ahead when we visit next.

I had the pleasure of visiting the great Percé region, but unfortunately going to Restaurant La Maison Mathilde was a traumatic experience both in terms of service and in terms of food. At this price point you would expect much more from this establishment, from the grease stains on the plates to the powdered mashed potatoes, to the overcooked lobster, this whole experience is a No Go…

We went here for breakfast and when we arrived we were promptly seated and had a coffee. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The breakfast was out standing. I ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and my wife had the breakfast platter. Both of these were appealing to the eyes as well as to the palette. The coffee was always hot and fresh. The price was well within the medium range and the meal was worth it. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good meal and not rushed in order to get more people seated.

One of the worst experiences ever. Service is awful. Not recommended at all.I had a reservation for 8pm for 4 people, show up on time and had to wait for 20 minutes even if there was plenty of free tables. Even if there were 3 free tables inside, we were given a table in the heated patio, where the temperature was too cold. After we request an indoor table, they made us wait additional 10 minutes, standing at the bar. This makes it 30 minutes waiting for a table, on a Monday night, with a reservation. When we are finally shown our table, the waitress comes and pours water on the table while filling up our glasses. A series of other similar episodes occur during the meal (she forgets to fill up our glasses, does not bring us the menus even if we asked, does not take away our empty plates, etc.)In our reservation (made days before) we had made clear that one of the people at the table had an allergy. Out of 25 dishes on the menu, we were told that only 4 could be eaten by that person, as no express food could be cooked. When we finally ordered our meal, we waited 25 minutes to get our first course and then additional 45 minutes for the main. The waitresses were absentminded and not receptive to orders, but what left us speechless was the approach of who we thought was the owner, who was extremely rude and unprofessional.I have travelled a lot in Canada and this was by far the worst culinary experience.

Went there for breakfast. Service was fast and efficient. Very kind waiter. The seating is super comfortable. Beautiful restaurant with a great view. Coffee was served immediately and refilled during my stay. Excellent breakfast. The apple caramel pancake is not too sweet and full of apples slices. Delicious. Will come back for sure if I'm in the area. They do add a 1$ tourist tax to the bill which is a little annoying. The other restaurants in Percé that I frequented did not do that.

Super tasty food! Friendly staff!Their meatless options are limited but their dishes are freshly made on the spot so they were very accomodating. We had the pancetta pasta and they replaced the pancetta with veggies. Food was so good we returned for breakfast the following two mornings! We had apple caramel crepe, omelet, breakfast plate, and eggs benedict on which they replaced the bacon for tomatoes.Super friendly staff as well, a must if you’re ever in Percé. One of the fews places open until late in Percé too.

DONT GO TO MAISON MATHILDE FOR LOBSTER!!! First,I wish I had taken photos. I give a one star because the lobster was a total fail. This is supposed to be lobster land. I ask the weight of the lobster and I get the reply: “It’s a lobster!”. One lobster is sold at 56$, therefore, I want to know what size I am paying for. Wright? Additionally, I have experience over cooked lobster in the past, and want to give them my boiling time requirements (therefore need to know the weight.)The waitress finally mentions it’s a 1,5 pound. I ask her for a 14 minute boiling time.Total disappointed when I received my plate, is was barely a one pound lobster. The lobster was overcooked. At this point I prefer not to ruin the evening and don’t complain.DONT GO TO MAISON MATHILDE FOR LOBSTER!!! Read other reviews complain about the same thing.Besides the lobster, everything was perfect. Friendly service, the beet soup and the foie gras was delicious. I recommend Maison Mathilde if you are not having lobster.
