went here late on a saturday night & was able to get seated upstairs right away. the ambiance was lovely, a perfect romantic dimly lit bar with vines on the center column. music was loud but that's expected after midnight, plus the playlist was dope. drinks were delicious, perfect casual nightcap lounge vibes. wish i had a place like this back home!

The host were friendly, sorry didn’t get her name, but she was a short either Wasian or Asian with tattoo.I was craving tartar so I wanted to get some before my movie started at scotiabank theatre. The host was super accommodating and was telling me about how it was going to rain before I finish my meal.The bar staffs were super friendly as well. I really appreciate their service. I personally appreciate the spot and how it looks from the inside. I would definitely go back if I’m looking to grab a small meal with a drink with some friends.The set up is very intimate and lit up with candles. It seems like the kind of resturant that would on Ossington street. Really cool place.

great ambience with dim lighting. music was a little too loud though. also seating was quite limited. if you happen to get a good spot it's great, but we initially got seated in the corner spot with the speaker blasting above us.

Absolutely love that their kitchen is open late, even on weekdays. Not many options for actual TASTY food open late weekdays anymore. Overall a lovely place!

Great spot to catch a weekday happy hour, which runs from 2pm - 6pm! They have house white/red wine and a lager for $7 and discounted bites like hummus and pita and a charcuterie board.We also tried the octopus and the fried cookie dough. The octopus was cooked well, not tough, seasoned, and charred. It was served with blistered cherry tomatoes and crispy kale. The fried cookie dough was an indulgent treat, best shared with another person.The space is small and very romantic. Each table has a tall lit candle, and the bar is decorated with fairy lights. The bathroom is downstairs. One of the sinks was clogged, and the stalls were clean.The servers were attentive and refilled our water glasses frequently. Much appreciated!I'd recommend booking a reservation if you're planning to come for happy hour.

Melrose on Adelaide was conveniently within short walking distance to/from our hotel during our recent trip to Toronto so on our way home, we decided to go here for a quick drink. It wasn’t a quick drink. We found Melrose to be so enjoyable that we stayed longer than intended. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of our cocktails but what I do remember was how strong yet enjoyably delicious they were. Great atmosphere too!

Good cocktails, chill atmosphere on the patio (albeit regular Toronto street noise on Adelaide). The shareable plates tasted good but were snack-sized and not amazing for the price. Overall a good place to bring friends but nothing spectacular.Heard great things about the ambiance inside, so will definitely try to sit inside if I come back again!

Really cute and cozy spot that fills up pretty quick. We walked in without reservations and were able to get a seat at the bar. Bartender was nice and friendly, made conversation with us and gave some good suggestions on drinks. We didn’t order any food as we were just grabbing a few drinks and planning to head out, but those around us had gotten lots of different things on the menu and it all looked fantastic.The prices were a little higher than I’d have liked for 2 beers, a small glass of house wine, and a cocktail but pretty average and standard for the area. Spent about $60-70 with tip. I would’ve definitely paid the price for my cocktail as it tasted fantastic- I ordered the “into the rose garden” and it was amazing, they’d have me coming back just for that.The ambiance here is also great, it’s got the mood lighting and chill music to set a nice mood.

Whether you are in the mood for something classic or want to try something new, they have got you covered!And let's not forget about the food! The chefs have done an incredible job creating a menu that perfectly complements the drinks. My personal favorite is the Into The Rose Garden paired with the Spicy Octopus - it's a match made in heaven! But don't just take my word for it, you'll have to come and try it yourself.If you're on a budget, make sure you plan your visit for a Wednesday night when wine bottles are half-priced all night. But even if it's not Wednesday, the prices are still very reasonable for the quality of service and food you receive.Overall, I can't say enough great things about Melrose on Adelaide. From the talented bartenders and chefs to the friendly servers, you'll leave feeling satisfied and happy every time. So if you haven't already, make sure to check out Melrose – you won't be disappointed!

Great atmosphere and fantastic drinks. This is a place that may be hard to get into since the inside is snug. I did love the ambience. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the entire look and feel of the place. Would try again. Not bad on the wallet
