Went here first time for my birthday and I was absolutely blown away. It's an open kitchen concept so you are able to watch the chef making sushi and sashimi. So far this is the best sushi place in Calgary that I've tried. With the price range is not too expensive but the quality is really fresh (love my tuna tataki). Staffs are very welcoming and friendly. 10/10

Had dinner with friends last Friday. Incredible meal, the fish had a wonderful flavour and the chefs and service staff were very knowledgeable about the menu.The pieces of sushi are already seasoned so I did not add more soy sauce. The sushi is made with and served with fresh wasabi.Fantastic meal and experience, I will be back for sure!

No line up, got seated right away, food was delicious, sashimi tasted really fresh, waitress explained each item, chef also came to see how the food was, very good first experience, definitely recommended!

I had very high hopes, heard great things, but sadly left disappointed. Prices are quite high for what you get. I would expect amazing quality for these prices, but the food was just okay. The 4 season roll was not fresh at all, very fishy tasting. Presentation was the only positive thing about my experience. I would recommend any other sushi restaurant over Ari any day.We spent $75 for 2 people at lunch and I left feeling hungry.

I agree with a friend who recommended Ari sushi in Inglewood, the best raw fish, sashimi in town except it is quite pricy when I think about the cozy space and it’s dark inside.We had Hokkaido uni (not well placed on the plate that the photo doesn’t justify the umami), sushi set, and 4 seasons roll, I’m not a fan of rolls but this was scrumptious. Luckily there are customer parking lots.

Amazing. Simply astounding. This place has some of the best sushi I have ever tasted in my life. They use real Wasabi!!! Definitely recommend it to all sushi lovers.

Sushi lunch special was almost too beautiful to eat. Beyond fresh and not lost in too much rice; dynamite roll was clean and didn't fall apart. Vegetable tempura was served with a warm Tentsuyu sauce. Sparkling sake was a great addition to our meal. We'll definitely be back.

I feel so out of place leaving such an average review for such a highly rated place, but I stopped by Ari Sushi for my anniversary dinner with my boyfriend and was severely let down.The high rating set my expectations pretty high but I just found the food to be quite mediocre. The Beef Tartare was plain and boring to eat, the Black Tiger Shrimp Tempura was light and airy but it lacked flavour. The Ari Special Roll was good for the first few bites but the cheese sauce was overly creamy and I just wasn’t a fan by the end of the dish.The star of the show was probably the Dinner Sashimi Special, the sashimi was incredibly fresh and buttery (my favourite was the scallop) but I don’t think I would go out of my way to book a reservation weeks in advance JUST for it.My experience at Ari Sushi was nothing notable, the staff were patient and kind, one of the chefs did stop by our table to greet us as well. I loved watching them prepare the sushi behind the bar and the atmosphere was great but personally, the food was underwhelming.

This is hands down, without question the best sushi in Calgary. I’ve been to Japan twice and I can honestly say that this rivals the sushi shops in Japan with the skill in which they handle their ingredients. This meal wasn’t just good, it was enchanting. We sat at the bar which was not only dinner, but also a show as you get to watch the chefs masterfully prepare the amazing food. Everything that left the kitchen looked so good and absolutely perfect that we wished we could’ve eaten it all. If you are looking for an expertly prepared and beautifully presented meal, made with the highest possible quality of ingredients, you NEED to eat here. Make a reservation as the restaurant is small and tables fill up quickly. We saw many walk ins turned away because they were full. Don’t make this mistake and miss out on what could be the best sushi experience of your life.

I'm from SK so the bar is set pretty low, but Ari Sushi was amazing! A friend and I happened to walk in and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the food was even better. We were lucky enough to sit at the bar and watch the chef's make all the food, which was also an excellent treat. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Calgary.
