WHAT TO TRY?!?The mains at the restaurant are good. We tried the duck and the halibut and both were really delicious. Each came on a plate with a different pattern and plated very nicely. Both were very delicious and juicy. The hor d’œuvres were also very good. Each plate is about $7 and you can get three for $17 and 5 for more than $20 so you can try out the different hor d’œuvres they have to offer. The Paris-Brest for dessert is the popular item here. It’s like a zeppole with cream inside a ringed pastry! Very good.My recommendation is if you want to try a bit of each, for two people, one hor d’œuvres dish is enough, one dish from pour commencer and a main each. We ordered three hor d’œuvres and then an additional dish from pour commencer section on top of the mains...but we had to cancel the dish from pour commencer because we were getting full already from the hor d’œuvres. The restaurant is pretty inside. Great use of blues, gold and ivory through the restaurant. The kitchen is an open kitchen and is at the bar area. It’s quite a cute restaurant for a brunch with friends or a place for a celebration.LAST TIP?!This restaurant is located at the corner of Sudbury st on the bottom floor of a new condo. There is an option for sample menu for a price of $150 with wine pairings or $85 without wine pairings. This allows you to get to sample a bit of everything on their menu if you’re up for a prix fixe menu.

The restaurant is actually quite lovely, the ambiance was great for a date spot. The presentation of every dish was very lovely despite the lack of flavour in the dishes. I really wanted a burst of something special, I found it to be boring and bland. The only thing worth mentioning on the menu is the Paris-Brest. (If you are a dessert person, I would recommend coming here strictly for this)Overall - great for foodie pictures, not great for an actual foodie.

Went here on my anniversary. The atmosphere is nice and the food was absolutely amazing. It was definitely worth the price. Hor d'oeuvres were yummy and I would recommend trying a few. Oysters were fresh, my steak frites were cooked nicely, and as others have said, you do not want to skip dessert. The Paris-Brest was one of the best desserts I have ever had!

Great restaurant and bar at convention location. Very nice French style cuisine, the menu only features around a total of 25 dishes all included but what a selection. Everything we had was cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients and great flavour. The wine selection added to the great experience. Not to forget the fact that the very nice guy behind the bar has competed in and won several drink competitions around the world. The combinations of ingredients in his cocktails made my head spin in more ways than one. There is a parking garage located beneath the restaurant ensuring easy access. If you enjoy high quality food and drinks served by knowledgeable and attentive staff this is the place to go.

Bacchanal is sexy, well of course it is, it’s French after all. The space is wide open and airy but so comfortable at the same time. Tables are beautifully spaced which means conversations stay at your table. Don’t feel like a table hang at the cool bar with great cocktails. Wines are neat and the list well curated. Mains are glorious but it’s such fun to make dinner out of delicious appetizers and sides. Do not miss dessert so save room. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food and travel

Very classic, beautifully prepared French cuisine. Menu seems to change but we had the eggs Pepin, which were salty tangy egg bombs of flavour. The other apps (pâté de campagne & marinated albacore) were well prepared but the mains were definitely the most enjoyable. I can't remember the last time I had such a perfect duck confit - it was so tantalizing I dove right in & forgot to take photos. It was served on the a bed of butterbeans, (which I think is poised for a comeback) that was rich and creamy. Husband had the lamb shank that he ate nearly without pause and we couldn't figure out how the delicious eggplant was prepared because we'd have ordered an entire dish of just that as well. Our friend had the Alsacien pork (done 3 ways) ... whose sausage was unbelievably smoky, juicy, spiced perfectly, and rustic texture was the star of the dish. Leeks gratin was fabulous as was the frites. We should have stopped but I love French desserts and loved all of them for different reasons. Banana cake was light but flavourful and definitely for banana lovers. The Paris-Brest was possibly the best choux pastry I've had in a while as it was perfectly crisp against the creamy filling. I really loved the cucumber gratinée with white chocolate but my husband & friend not so much. Food was overall very rich and good examples of what French food should be - seemingly simple but rewards your tastebuds with a depth of flavour. Interior was charming and bistro style. The wine delicious and service could only be improved if they noted who ordered the bottle of wine and served the tasting to the person who ordered it instead of randomly choosing who they thought should taste it.

4/5Fantastic serviceGreat vibesOk food.We had brunch here on a Saturday. The host graciously gave us the corner booth which was probably the best table in the restaurant! Great start.Throughout our meal we were well cared for, never having to fill our water glasses or having to call them for something. Fantastic service. The atmosphere is very nice, trendy and chic. The food was a little bit of a disappointment. The croque was really nice which was there signature dish! But the swordfish & octopus skewers were overcooked, making the fish tough in texture.Plus the fact that one of our order was forgotten but included in the bill showed that there's room for improvement in the kitchen.Otherwise, a fantastic experience. I will return for a second time.

Certainly worth all of the praise they have received since opening. Service was very attentive, but was there on a very quiet night. That said, I’m sure the same would be true on a busy night. Of course, the Paris-Brest dessert is worth every penny - just get one, even if you don’t want to. Seafood is prepared well and an appropriate portion. Cassoulet is rich and smoky, and I wiped the bowl clean with the perfectly light and crisp baguette. Wine list is good, if not a bit light for a French restaurant. Cocktails are well-balanced but go for the absinthe.
