I've taken three classes with Joe, one with Sally, and did a summer intensive with Aaron, all between the years 2018-2022. Thanks to them, I got into the Canadian Film Centre's Actors Conservatory and am now in Toronto pursuing acting as a career. On top of that, I made great friends.

I have taken three classes with Joe at Company of Rogues and I found them all useful for taking (or disregarding!) what I know about acting from my theatre experience and applying it to the camera. Joe is a kind and gentle soul, truly a pleasure to learn from and a wealth of knowledge. A great place to train and to practice. Definitely recommended!

Company of Rogues has been a fantastic experience. I felt as if every instructor was personally invested in my growth and success. The instructors are gifted, understanding and encouraging. I felt safe to explore and develop my skills with them. I also found, my classes were always engaging and insightful. I highly recommend this school for anyone interested in acting, whether their aspirations are in theatre or film.

My first experience with Rogues was in the Essentials of Acting in the late summer of 2019. As a mature student, read that as much older than the average, I was nervous of even trying. But, when I called to ask about classes, I was assured by the person who I spoke with that it was never to late to try.Aaron Coates was very patient, supportive and made the classes a fun experience. I had a very positive learning experience.In the spring of 2020, in the midst of the Covid shut down, I attended my first Essentials of TV and Film with Joe-Norman Shaw via Zoom. Now, 2 Zoom sessions and an in person sessionwith Covid protocols later, Joe’s classes have helped me learn more about myself as well as the craft. Just finished the Essentials of Acting" course and I really enjoyed it. Aaron is a great instructor who is able to pass on his knowledge in a fun and interesting way. I came into the course with no previous acting experience and felt that I have built a solid foundation on which I can build upon. If you have a desire to learn the craft of acting then I'm sure you will enjoy the course like I did."

I have taken both the Essentials of Acting with Aaron Coates and Essentials of Film with Joe Norman-Shaw. Both classes were incredible, in-depth and such a great learning opportunity. Both instructors I learned from were so knowledgeable and approcheable. I can't wait to take more classes with Company of Rogues and encourage new and seasoned actors alike to check them out.

This is an excellent studio for equipping theatre actors with the necessary skills for film. Joe has an incredible wealth of knowledge and approaches each scene with warmth and support. The sessions focused on audition techniques for film were especially useful. In fact, I recently booked my first speaking role in an ACTRA film thanks to skills I gained at Company of Rogues.

The education I received at Company of Rogues provided a solid foundation to build my acting career upon. The instructors are committed to bringing out the best in students in a safe and comfortable learning environment. They way they adapted to and addressed Covid measures, to continue providing quality education, demonstrates the professionalism of this studio.

I took Some Classes with Joe, he's a super great guy and great acting instructor and working with him was a really great experience. I really enjoyed the platform of his classes and how he makes it a fun unique environment! I would 110% recommend Company Of Rogues to anyone in the Southern Alberta area (and beyond) wanting to improve their skills and gain experience on a higher level!
