The government must make some real audit on Service Canada at this location.I will start from the very beginning when you arrive without appointment, expect to wait for about 4-5 hours easily that is when you have a reason to speed up things like urgent travel with flight ticket coming in the next few days. The security guard is rude, he was only speaking in French and I asked him to repeat what he said in English, he looked at me, toes to head, and told me you don’t understand French, I replied I don’t and your duty as a Federal employee to do both languages. Then he started complaining before he repeats what he said again in English. I respected his age, so I didn’t reply to him.I had to collect my passport the other day and came in 10 minutes earlier to my appointment. Went in, the officer checked my claim slip and told me I must wait to see another officer, gave me a number, and asked me to set. I sat for exactly two hours and fifteen minutes, during which was the lunch time so employees just went to eat “I assume”. The numbers were just not moving in the first hour at all. No employees at any counters most of the time. I went to another officer and told her I have a Dr. Appointment that I must catch, and they are delaying me. She said you must set, wait and nothing could be done. When I asked her can I see the responsible manager, her colleague called the same rude security guy! I told them you don't have a responsible manager, but the security guide! Then went back to set. After two hours and 15 minutes my number showed up in the screen and I met the officer. She asked me nothing at all. She went inside for like 7 minutes and came back to tell me set down and in 15 minutes you will get your passport ready. I asked her what was the problem and she said I don’t know. Just set and someone will call your name to deliver the passport!!I got it finally, but instead me smiling, I was frustrated for no given reason.Come on… this is Canada, our great country. Why you are doing this to our big Canadian family.

Summer 2022 Experienceunprecedented surge in Passport applicationsSlept on the sidewalk during a severe thunderstorm. The service was pretty fast and smooth once I entered the office. If you have all your paperwork ready it takes less than 10 minutes to apply for your passport and get a pick-up date. You don’t have to wait in line to pick up your passport. My experience with the staff was great. They are nice and accommodating. Everyone welcomed me with a smile and answered all my questions with great patience. Don’t argue with them. They are willing to help you. I heard people say mean/offensive things to the employees. It’s very disrespectful to demean another person publicly. We must treat everyone with respect.I understand that this situation is frustrating but instead of harassing the worker bees let’s voice our concerns to the government officials that YOU voted to parliament. They have the real power to change the system.Notes:1. I went at 7pm on Monday and there were already 150 people in line waiting for the office to open at 8:30am on Tuesday. By 3am on Monday, there were approximately 300 people waiting in line.2. Listen to the announcements carefully, they tend to give out appointments to people in line who are travelling after 4 days.3. At night, you can leave your chair in the line and sleep in your car. No one will take your spot (be friendly with the people around you).Good luck everyone!

I waited 2 hours even with an appointment. The person who assigns the number gave me one for renewal instead of a new passport application. I had to wait two times due to this. The same thing happened to another person while I was there. Giving it a two star because Annie who works there is amazing. She saw how long I was waiting and went to speak to an agent for me.

Nothing wrong about this location. In general. It's time that you start thinking of automating your service and have more efficient way to transmit document. Canada Government is way behind other major companies. Make effort to be more 'Agile' and find way to be more efficient it will benefit everyone!!

My experience was MEH! Because I went to do the passport for my daughter (on a Friday)over there for express to pick up on Tuesday and then they called me whiles I was on my way to go get it and then they call me to tell me that that it's been sent to Montreal and then I go to the one at guy favreau and then to be told that I have to go all the way back to Ville st Laurent and then when I reach to Ville st Laurent, they tell me it's been sent to Montreal and that it's closed...I've been running around to go there with 2 kids in the winter time, from 11:40AM and it's now after 4pm & mind you, the guy that called me is the SAME GUY that served me in the passport place in Ville ST- Laurent...SMH...I WILL NEVER DO OR RENEW PASSPORTS via EXPRESS, EVER AGAIN...NEVER!!!I'm so disappointed and angry because of all the tiresome run-arounds.****But over all, the staff is very KIND.****

Went at the opening at 8h30 on a Wednesday. There were about 75 people before me and I was out in an hour. Staff was polite and very well organized. Lead time to receive the passport is said to be 10 days, no additional delays expected. Great experience for what it can be.

I am giving them 5 stars because this is probably the best service I've received given the circumstances (governmental document processing). Whether you have an appointment or not, it is excellently organized with game of moving chairs that helps avoid crowds and clumps of people standing. Yes, they will be strict and rough with you if you don't follow their orders. But honestly, it wouldn't work otherwise. Yes, there are a lot of people in a rush and struggling to understand the renewal instructions. Regardless, I have always encountered polite agents. Note, I not saying nice" that is not their job to be nice. Always polite

Very nice staff considering the current situation and the long working hours . Keep in mind that the employees are not to blame for the long wait.I was there at 6:00am and there were 100 people in line already. Yes, there is a long wait, but make sure to have all the papers in order and the proof of valid travel within 48h. Often, two employees were making rounds anouncing that only people traveling in 48h can stay in line...around 10:00am they reduced travel time to 24h and they were checking everyone's papers to make sure there will be no delays once you get inside and they're taking time to answer to all questions we might have. They were very nice and very respectfully. Only around 3:00pm I got inside and at 4:30pm I was out with an appointment to pickup my passport next day at 10:00 ( no waiting in line for this). They were short on staff ( 3 employees called in sick) and only one guardian (one lady very nice and very understanding).Bottom line, be there early, have all papers in order, bring a large coffee and water bottle, snack , camping chairs, blanket (it's cold in the morning), sunscreen and a hat...and a loooot of patience.Good luck!!
