Ordered a chocolate cake for my son's birthday. It was the best cake I've ever tasted. Would highly recommend any cake if they all taste this good! The staff were friendly and helpful. Will always order my cakes from here in the future!

I ordered a chocolate cake for Mothers Day, and I was woried because my wife is a great baker and very fussy. I shouldn't have worried, the cake was AMAZING! Moist, delicious, and not excessively sweet like most cakes you buy. We'll definitely be back again!

If you’re a fan of taro (ube or purple yam), a staple in South and East Asian desserts, this bakery has a love affair with it. And you know what? They do it well. It was my first time there so I tried the ube cheesecake bar, ube bar, and ube custard cake. They were all quite good, lots of ube flavour, not too sweet, but still decadent. Thankfully these bakers do not skimp on quality ingredients. They make other types of desserts like the mango cake and ensaymadas (sweet rolls) so I’ll have to come back and sample more, but so far so good.Staff are kind and helpful, and the bakery is cute little place inside a strip mall in the Ranchlands neighbourhood.

They made a cake for my son's birthday it not only looked amazing but was also delicious. Not extremely sweet like you get at other bakeries was the best tasting and best looking cake yet. Thanks for an amazing job!

I like it to the fact that I was able to reserve and order couple weeks prior without having to give a deposit, nevertheless I was surprised they gave me a frozen cake, not an ice cream cake but a cake put in the freezer that needs to be thawed hours before we can eat it. After 3 hours, it was still pretty solid and hard to cut, the taste is okay but I think it degraded so much because it was frozen and thawed. I hope I can taste this cake in the fresh form, then I could edit this review although I wouldn't be spending money for the whole cake again. I git their Mango Delight 8 inches and it was $60, $40 for the 6inches.

We ordered an Ube cake for my son’s 3rd birthday. It was so neat and beautiful! The taste is so good and with the perfect amount of sweetness. It is tailored to Asian taste buds for sure. Compared to the custom cakes I got elsewhere in the past, not only the price is less than half, the taste is much much better! Everyone loved it. Grandparents asked for the bakery name so that they can order in the future too

Came here to get a cake to celebrate my girlfriend's graduation and it was amazing!! Absolutely loved the Ube cake!! The flavour was amazing and everyone enjoyed it! The cake was simple and beautiful and reasonably priced. Didn't need to be overly extravagant and the Ube flavour was fantastic!! Would definitely come here again to order a cake and would highly recommend others to come here as well!!

If you’re wanting to try something new when it comes to cakes and pastries, look no further! Purple Yum is a unique gem that I found by accident. This bakery has an excellent price point and service to match. Everything I’ve tried thus far has been ridiculous tasty. I’m not much for fruit in my cakes but their signature mango delight is a must try. The Ube cake is also a great light choice with whipped cream and just the right amount of sweetness. And I love the Ube squares with cream cheese. But I think my favourite is the cashew pastry, which says a lot for the chocolate lover that I am. Finally, sending a big thank you to the owners for the last minute baby shower cake! Custom cakes with no deposit required. See you again soon!
