I would have been so grateful for my son to attend this school but sadly the principal herself, refused us. Even though my son is indigenous. I wouldnt recommend at all for the way my child was turned away because he is special needs. I HOPE THEY READ THIS!

We absolutely love this school, I don't have enough good things to say. From the bottom up, the school, staff, curriculum, are all top quality. My daughter started Kindergarten this year and it has been the best start to school anyone could ask for. Our culture is everything here, and my daughter has learned more than I even know as an adult. The principal (now gone) was so involved and engaged with the kids. The assistant principal (soon to be gone) did so much to bring speakers, elders, ceremonies etc into the school. We are very sad that she will not be back, but look forward to meeting the new principal. I feel blessed and very lucky to have our children attend this school. All the teachers and admin are so thoughtful helpful, welcoming, kind and more. I highly recommend this school for any indigenous folk living in Calgary, you will NOT get a better experience anywhere else in Calgary for K-2 students. Thank you Niitsitapi Staff, you are all amazing <3
