Gene's Marine

I needed a new/used prop shafts for my boat they had one that would fit but they couldn't get my boat in right away so they tagged the shaft put my phone number and name on it and would call me when they weren't busy I didn't hear back from him last fall I came in this spring brought my boat in they said they couldn't find the shaft but they knew it was there I came back a few weeks later so I could pick up the lower unit to take the Scag again to get replaced they told me they couldn't find the shaft and ordered a new one which was out of my price range and I couldn't afford since I'm on disability I was not very happy I took the lower you in it somewhere to get fixed and checked around for another prop shaft Gene's Marine just ordered a new one without even calling me I was not happy at all I asked him to give me a part number for it and they said that they already had one coming in I checked around found a used one somewhere else and now I'm going to pick up my boat and take it up to them instead they are nice guys there at Gene's Marine but they can't take it for granted they can call and order new parts for someone on their own without consent

Very knowledgeable staff, able to order whatever parts you need. Willing to help with your outboard or inboard questions. Sizable amount of parts on hand, old or new Gene's marine will get you back on the water!

Good people and very knowledgeable. Plus the only place where you can get Johnson and Evinrude OMC parts near Duluth. Very good reputation.

Brought my boat here for the last 3 years had no problems until now. Had three things done to he boat, I gave Gene a month to get it done before a family event. He say it would be done, called and he did even do it before the deadline. Had every excuse why he could not do it. A week later it was done, but only one problem was fixed and the other two didn't get fixed. The bill was doubled the estimate and when talking to him about it, one of his employees was screaming at me that it was my problem. Customer service is unbelievably weak at this shop. Use at your own risk.

I have an older boat and motor. I was hoping to get the motor serviced by May.They did all that I asked, and more in just 4 business days. Price was quite reasonable. I'm a very happy customer.

Brought our motor in early in the morning...by 3 PM they called and it was done. Not only did they fix our motor but there were a few things they fixed that we did not know about. Good service!

They have been very helpful over the years. They've repaired motors, sold me parts and freely given me helpful advice on several occasions. I would recommend them.

Gene's had been winterizing and storing boats for us for several years. Always friendly, reasonable and knowledgeable. They replaced a damaged I/O lower unit and worked with our insurance company.

They do great honest work tune my boat up every year.
