Great place to get into sustainable lifestyle. Lots of amazing products. Refills and recycling boxes. Super friendly and knowledgeable stuff. Will definitely come back and highly recommend!

This place is an absolute gem, and Lisa is very knowledgeable and helpful.Getting refills actually seems cheaper than store-bought products, and arguably better quality! And you can get refills for sooooo many things!I'm so incredibly happy Canary is in the neighborhood and can't wait until I need to go there again!

They have a great variety of bulk (zero waste) goods ranging from bathroom to kitchen. In the past, I've purchased dish soap, dishwasher tablets, and laundry detergent powder, which have all been great!! I really love that the dish soap is scent and dye free.Lately, I ordered extra sunscreen that didn't work for my skin tone and Canary was very helpful in letting me exchange the unopened sunscreen (for the tinted one). Their online shop and delivery system is really convenient. My go-to zero waste store!

Absolutely love this refillery! By far the most cost effective in comparison to other similar companies in Calgary. You get 10% off if you purchase over 3 L of a product, which is an added bonus.Staff are always so friendly and helpful. The store always has a wide variety of sustainable cleaning/bath/body products. They also have some extra containers that other customers donate. Amazing initiative reducing barriers to a environmentally conscious lifestyle. I get all my cleaning products here and have always been satisfied!The only suggestion I have would be to list prices of refillable products on the website.

Canary is a great hole in the wall store for zero waste products. They have an assortment of items from bathroom to kitchen to lifestyle. I have always found their refillables to be great, and they will happily fill them for you while you shop around for other items. Carry great brands that last a long time. Staff has always been kind and polite. And they genuinely care about their customers.

Highly recommend. Definitely have a new obsession!

Beautiful little store that carries many earth-friendly personal and home care items.You can bring your own containers to fill with lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner, dishwasher tabs, oxyclean, cleaning vinegar, etc. (there are a few types of containers for sale as well). They carry a great array of reusable snack bags, containers, non-plastic straws, beeswax wrap, biodegradable dental floss, bar soaps, and home cleaning items (everything from sponges to brooms). Owners are very friendly, and weigh and fill your containers for you, and let you sample products (like lotion) beforehand. They have even found a specialty recycler that takes oral care disposables - so you can bring empty toothpaste tubes, old toothbrushes, and empty dental floss containers to recycle here (any brand!). It also sounds as if they are looking for people to take their large volume containers for re-use afterwards, which will hopefully result in these very sturdy containers being used many times, instead of being immediately recycled or disposed of.This is a great store and wonderful concept, I hope they do well and this becomes a societal norm!The store is located upstairs, and may be tough to access for wheelchair users or people with strollers (there didn't appear to be an elevator in this building).

Really love this place!!! They are always so welcoming when you walk in and the selection of products is so huge! They clearly care a great deal about supporting local and have amazing quality products for the price point!

I love Canary staff are friendly and plus supporting small business and what they are about should be how we spend our money. This place smells really nice too lil.

I have been going to Canary for years and absolutely love refilling here. The products are amazing and it’s nice the staff will allow you sample things at home when possible before purchasing in bulk. The staff are super friendly and really know the products inside and out. My only issue with Canary is the lack of accessibility for people with wheelchairs or strollers. There is no elevator in the building. I hope Canary would consider finding an alternative storefront location so everyone has access to their shop.
