I recently visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner and had a wonderful experience. One of my all-time favorite dishes is the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps, which I highly recommend. It's not just an appetizer for me; sometimes I even choose it as my main course because it's both healthy and satisfying. The portion size is generous, unlike many other appetizers that tend to be small. These wraps are not only incredibly delicious but also quite filling. As we were getting full, we decided to try another main dish, the Blackened Creole Chicken. Let me tell you, this dish exceeded all expectations and left me craving for more. The combination of creole butter, Cajun-spiced tender chicken, creamy buttered mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus is simply divine. It's a mouthwatering experience that I highly recommend to everyone. I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10.The Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps were my ultimate favorite appetizer, and the Blackened Creole Chicken stole the show as the most delicious dish I've ever tasted. If you have the opportunity, do not miss out on these incredible culinary delights!Additionally, I appreciated the restaurant's willingness to accommodate our request to split the main dish into two separate portions without any extra charge. It was a thoughtful gesture that added to our overall dining experience.

Consistently good food and service and you know it has amazing views when it's a cactus club. It is recommended to make reservations since this location is quite popular and gets very busy. I will recommend catching the happy hours so you can explore the menu easier.

Dinner here was lovely. The sunset showing through the windows over the ocean was breathtaking. All the waiters and waitresses are beautiful and attentive. The food was of course amazing

Location is great and server was friendly. Hostess at the front could use some serious retraining. Not a pleasant individual to speak to by any means. I can understand with their location they aren’t feeling pressure to fill the restaurant, but as the first interaction you have with the restaurant, it’s pretty bad. Not the usual cactus standard for sure.

Saddens me to say that its quality has plummeted at an alarming rate in recent months and years. One of the most noticeable aspects of this decline is the deterioration of their service. What was once exemplary and attentive has now become lackluster and indifferent. It seems that the staff no longer strive to provide the same level of care and attention as before. Perhaps it's because they've realized they can rely on the restaurant's location and reputation to draw in crowds, regardless of the quality of service.Attempts to contact the restaurant have become frustrating experiences. Phone calls are met with a lackadaisical attitude and lengthy periods of being put on hold. The overall phone service has become a far cry from what it used to be, leaving customers feeling dissatisfied and undervalued. While the establishment may benefit from its proximity to the beach, it's only a matter of time before people start to recognize the decline in service and choose to take their patronage elsewhere. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant with such potential fall victim to complacency, seemingly unconcerned with maintaining the high standards that once set it apart from the rest. This once-beloved restaurant used to hold a special place in my heart, ranking among my top 5 favorite dining spots in Vancouver and even within the entire Cactus Club chain (having visited 21 of their locations across British Columbia, except for Vernon and Nanaimo). However, y'all are falling down my Cactus Club rankings, and the proximity to English Bay Beach won't save you much longer. Fix your service. Fast. Or else, once the summertime comes to an end, your restaurant will fail, because the only reason people come here will soon be just the views and atmosphere, with the atrocious service. Also, tell corporate to bring the frosé drinks back. You're losing me and a whole fanbase that loved you for your frosés for the past six years.Huge disappointment, Cactus English Bay. Fix yourself. All photos were taken from the past decade before the absolute joke of a decline of this restaurant. Not sure what happened to you, but perhaps the pandemic destroyed the quality of this restaurant?

Really nice place , right on the beach and not a bad price .We were stopping up the road and wanted somewhere nice and hassle free. A quick glance at google showed it to be one of the best in the area. So we headed over .The service was good, the food was nice and it didn’t take too long . We sat for a while and had a few drinks, it was really busy the night we went , so sometime took a while to get somebody’s attention to get another drink. It’s quite likely we will go back .

The Cactus Club Cafe was a great experience. Front of house was amazing could not have asked for a better service, it was my friends birthday. Table was booked for 8 unfortunately the booking was accepted then declined with out double checking. Got to the cafe only to find out that there were no booking in our names. The staff was really kind to offer us an alternative table without hesitation and delay. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions which was great. Overall a great experience with a beautiful atmosphere.

Perfect experience. But the FOOD was to die for. The food at this Cactus is benchmark for any franchise out there. Every single item we ordered was done perfectly. The hero of the dish were the amazing cooks that made them.Thank you for bringing me and my family an amazing food experience.
