Champion Appliance
Very professional and friendly company. Compassionate to my needs. When my brand new washing machine broke down I was very disappointed when I was not given the choice of replacement or repair. It was Champion Appliance that came out for the repair. Erik was very supportive to my concerns and assured me everything would be corrected. And although it again was the manufacturer that delayed the shipping of parts required, Erik repaired it as promised.

They were extremely prompt in returning my call, we were able to get an appointment the same day. The technician brought appropriate parts based on my description of the problem and was able to repair on the spot. The service was fast, efficient, friendly and they explained the problem. Even took the time to fully clean out the dryer and left the area clean and tidy. Will definitely use again and highly recommend.

Called manufacturer and they got in touch with Champion appliances" on my behalf. The very same day I got a call from Champion to set up an appointment. Next day!!! Quick service.Erik called to let me know he was on his way. Very polite. Told him of the issue. He told me what he thought it could be from past experience. He talked to me not at me. Very honest with me. Erik fixed it and have had no problem since. It was a very simple fix and he did not make me feel like a fool over something so simple. Erik called me later the same day to be sure things were still good.Great personal service. Made me feel like I really mattered to the company. Great experience after working with other companies who didn't care about you after the job was done.I would highly recommend this company for any appliance repair!!!"

The purpose of my post is to share our experience due to the lack of response from Champion, considering the seriousness of this concern. Our home could have caught on fire.On multiple occasions, Champion sent a repair person to our home to troubleshoot continued issues with our dryer (the same repair person each time). Our dryer was under warranty (less than one year old). The dryer was not drying our clothes (it ran but there was no heat) and it was very loud (much louder than normal). At the time, the repair person suggested that the sensors were the issue, even though we were not using any of the sensor functions (only timed dry) and we communicated this to him however he went on to order and replace the sensors. While we were waiting for the sensors to come in and get replaced, our dryer started working again. Once the repair person replaced the sensors, our dryer stopped working again, at which time we scheduled another appointment. While waiting weeks for this appointment, our dryer started working again on it's own.Following the second last occasion that the repair person was at our home, an exhaust hose clamp was left on our counter above the dryer. I informed the repair person of this and he said that he didn't know where that came from but it was not him (even though it wasn't there before he visited). He came and left again and the clamp remained on the counter. Subsequently (February 2021), we noticed a burning smell coming from our dryer at approximately 12:00am (I awoke to this smell). My husband pulled the dryer out and we noticed that the exhaust hose clamp was missing. The repair person never put it back on, he dismissed it as our issue and then didn't even check after I brought this to his attention. The burning smell (smelled like burnt plastic/rubber) continued with another load of laundry therefore we stopped using the dryer. I contacted the warranty company, who scheduled a service appointment with Champion again. The repair person came to our home and said that we continue to complain about the dryer and there was nothing wrong. I contacted Champion and the owner agreed to send another repair person to our home. By this time, the burning smell was no longer present. I spoke with this service repair person on the phone and they said that everything is probably fine and perhaps an object got caught in the dryer and melted. I cancelled the appointment as such.A week or so later, our dryer stopped drying our clothes again; no heat. I contacted the warranty company and requested a new repair person look at our dryer. Another repair company came and the first thing they did was check the outlet and the attached picture is what they found. It was the same smell that I was previously smelling. The repair person from Champion didn't even check the outlet when we complained about the burning smell. I sent the picture and information to the owner of Champion and requested that this be addressed with her repair person. She said she would ask him about it and mentioned that we should have had the other repair person look at the dryer. She didn't even apologize or take any accountability for this repair person's negligence. I asked her if she asked the repair person why he didn't check the outlet when we were complaining of a burning smell and she ignored this e-mail and never responded.Typically I wouldn't share customer service complaints however when it could have potentially impacted the lives of my family, I believe it's important to share this. The service technician dismissed our complaints and didn't diligently troubleshoot, which could have resulted in our home catching fire. I hope the owner did address this with this particular repair person because it is a serious matter.
