Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Love going to Potters and their plants are always so lush and healthy! I only had one problem with a perennial I purchased recently and Dana was amazing to deal with. My garden go to centre!!!

We have purchased a number of products from Potter's over the last few years; trees, shrubs, roses. All have been very healthy plants and have done well. They do an excellent job

I agree with the other reviewers here about their return policy. Their prices are very high but come with a return policy. Unfortunately returns can be extremely difficult and they end up blaming you rather than considering the quality of the product or even explaining what can be done. There is absolutely no reason to be rude or disrespectul to repeat customers that have spent thousands.

A lot of stuff perhaps some one can't get anywhere else but Expensive - this one shocking me the most. Every garden center in the neighborhood sells 5' tall healthy Emerald Cedar for $30 but Potter's (and yes in a bigger pot) at $230 - really? That makes me wonder how they manage to keep repeat business?

Potter’s was great until I had to return plants. I have spent thousands of dollars at this nursery over the years but last year’s plants did not make it through the winter. When I called, the person I spoke with said to just bring photos in and they would honour their warranty as long as the tags were on, which they were. Today was my only window of opportunity to replace two of the dead plants, as I will be away for the rest of the summer. When I got to Potter’s they treated me as though it were my fault the plants were dead and that I had maybe taken the tags from somewhere else in order to get another plant. The owner (owner’s daughter?) was disrespectful and dismissive. So upsetting at a time a little kindness (and honouring what the person on the phone told me) would have gone a long way.

I have previously had good experiences at Potters, until today. Last summer, I was told that their used pots at the back are free to take. I went a couple times last summer to get pots and would always buy other supplies at the same time. Even though their soil is more expensive than at Canadian tire or Home Depot, I always bought from them because I appreciated that they offered free pots and I prefer to support local business. Today, I went to get a few pots and some potting soil. I checked with an employee (as I always have) before heading to the back to grab the pots. I put them in my car before heading inside to get soil. When I went to pay, a man (who I believe is the owner) told the cashier to charge me for three pots. The way he said it made it sound like I was trying to steal them. I told him that I was not aware that they now charge for pots and that I did check with an employee before getting them, I felt like I had to defend myself. His response was rude and not understanding at all. It was just a bizarre interaction that left me feeling embarrassed. I most definitely was not trying to sneak the pots in my car without telling anyone. The situation could have been much different if he had told me directly “oh by the way, we now charge for pots” or something to that effect when I walked past him to put them in my car. To be clear, I am not upset that they charge for the pots, but rather with the way I was treated. Next time I need soil or other supplies, I will take my business elsewhere.

Potters 30 years ago landscaped my West end house. It was both extensive and beautiful and I have been a loyal customer ever since. But I now have to stop and acknowledge Zolton who is absolutely the best. I have been there numerous times already this year landscaping a newer property. He is engaging, knowledgeable and a true delight.I have been anxiously awaiting a certain tree to arrive to be held for me. Beyond their control it has been delayed. They were able to get one for me and when I arrived to pick up Zolton was there with a huge smile and had the tree already loaded for transport to truck. He gave me all needed support and knowledge transfer to put it in the ground successfully.Thank you a million times to Zolton and the incredible staff at Potters ❤️
