Marchand Provincial Park

Made a stop at Marchand Provincial Park on the way home from the Steinbach area in August 2022.The park is just off Highway 210. There are a variety of camping spots and picnic areas with tables and fire pits along the narrow road in the park. There was also a covered picnic shelter and outhouses. It’s a very small park. Aside from the highway noise, it was pretty peaceful and surrounded by forest.I enjoyed having a picnic lunch here and sitting in the sun. Would come back for a pit stop again!

Beautiful and almost intimate park in the middle of the forest. Great place for a family picnic.

This was a fantastic place to hike, we went on the Sandilands ski trail - green route which is approximately 12 km to and from the parking lot. The warming huts (although used for winter) are in fantastic condition. The trail itself is fairly flat with some increases and decreases in elevation at certain parts, but overall not too bad. We saw bear and deer tracks but we did not see any wildlife for the most part. Tons of mosquitos, so bring long sleeved shirts and bug spray! Would recommend!

Enjoyed a day of hiking the trails near the Marchand Park. Always an experience, with the smells and sights of the forest. So entrancing.

We visited the park May 1, 2021, had a fire and BBQ'ed sausage burgers.It's a very peaceful location among the pine trees. Wind was blowing softly through them.

Great place to ride! The trails are awesome but sometimes a little too awesome!

It's always a peaceful place with gorgeous views and amazing vibes. It's perfect for a picnic, but remember to pick up your garbage after.

This park is nice and close to Steinbach, very easy to get to, and no issues with parking. The trees and land is beautiful and the trail that we hiked mostly a delight. However there were many off-road vehicles about, and even some dirtbikers on the trail we were hiking on (even though I believe there is a sign someplace prohibiting that). This made us fairly apprehensive as there were many twists and turns in the trail where it would be difficult to be seen by a high velocity vehicle.The trail was also flooded in some locations (June 2022), and full of mosquitoes and the most ticks we have ever recieved as a group (we were still finding them a week later at our house!).The park itself has a great camping/picnic area with plenty of space, picnic tables, fire pits and at least one outhouse.I've also heard that it is an amazing place for cross-country skiing.

Nice place near alot of trail heads

Nice little park for day trips. Picnic table and fire pits for weiner roasts. Usually a supply of fire wood as well. Close to many trailheads in Sandilands.
