Just Poke It Studio

It took awhile to build myself up to getting more piercings after my first experience being horrible. I made a spontaneous appointment with Just Poke It to get second lobe piercings and was able to come in the next day— I have a LOT of anxiety around needles, so naturally I was very nervous. The atmosphere is comfortable with private rooms for clients even if it’s just a piercing. Everything was very sanitary and clean. Leela was absolutely amazing, very talkative and understanding about my anxiety (I was also offered juice or water). Walked me through all of the safety measures (such as showing me the needle was brand new and not expired), making conversation throughout the whole process. Afterwards she gave me clear verbal and written instructions on aftercare and my piercings are healing well. Will definitely be coming back once I have the money :)One critique was that I was asked if I had any questions in front of other clients in the waiting room— I would have preferred to have been asked privately, away from people I didn’t know. That’s literally it tho! I definitely suggest this studio, especially if piercings make you nervous.

This was my first time at this shop and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, clean, and informational experience. Leela was wonderful—she was kind, professional, and great at what she does. She showed me the instruments she would be using, the jewelry, everything else on the table. I have had over 8 piercings (from other businesses) and not once did anyone go to the length of showing the expiry date on the products she was using! She has completely set a new standard and is challenging other businesses and professionals to raise their customers’ expectations. I will for sure be coming back in the future for another piercing or a tattoo. Amazing atmosphere, beautiful studio, and best of all it is owned and operated by women who love what they do and are exceptional at it.

To anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing. Especially if you're shy, anxious or have wanted to get one but just aren't sure. This is the place for you. Some of the most down to earth and hard working people here. They have been very kind to me and the friends who have had work done by them. Experienced artists and some very talented apprentices. They all have their own style when it comes to their art and its become one of my favourite places to go. If you want somewhere comfortable and welcoming to get acquainted with the tattoo world then take a trip down to Just Poke it and you'll see what I'm talking about !

Got my daughter name tattooed by sunshine at just poke it and she did a wonderful job , lines are smooth , she was gentle with the tattoo ,the atmosphere was a little on the crazy cray side and that is good with me cause I’m on the same side of the fence. Overall I am happy with the shop , artist, the work done on me and the pricing. Definitely be going back for more.

Had an absolute blast. My buddy lost a bet and had to get my name tattooed to his body. It was his first ever tattoo and the first time either of us have ever been in a tattoo shop. The ladies working that day Brooklyn (I believe haha), Jen and Sunshine were all wonderful. They went a long with our jokes, and were not afraid to dish them back. Sunshine had the task of the butt tattoo and did a wonderful and caring job. When I decide to get my own done, I know exactly where I am going to go

The staff and owners are terrific! First had my eyebrow peirced, then a tattoo.Went back two weeks ago and had a beautiful finger tattoo done. It's a known fact that finger tattoos will fade due to exposure to water mainly. Within one week the tattoo has almost all came off and hasn't been in water yet except 2 clean it 3x a day. I emailed and sent pm and it took 4 days to hear from them. I went out a couple days later the artist was busy and i was told they would call. 5 days later nothing . They want full price of 120.00 to fix it and after consulting with another artist she felt that she didn't go deep enough with the ink. VERY DISAPPOINTEDI feel this should have been redone for a very minimal charge if not free!YOUR response is very lame and unprofessional. I never told your artist or receptionist that I went to work nor did I do dishes. Your basically calling your client a LIAR. I have 12 tattoos and am very aware of how to care for them, it's poor quality on your end, shame on you ALL for trying to pin a poor job at your end on me. I want nothing from you but I feel you all owe me an apology for lying about ME.So the end of the story I was informed that they had video and audio of me telling them I had said I went to work and did dishes , last I checked grocery store clerks don t do dishes! I then asked to see it and they blocked me from social media, pretty much sums up my truth and their unprofessional conduct.GREAT EXPERIENCE GONE BAD!!!!!!

Super happy with my nose piercing experience today. It was my first time going to this studio and I was immediately impressed by the friendly greeting, the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and of course the professionalism and cleanliness. They offered us water or juice and had snacks in the waiting area. Every room was decorated so beautifully with art and thriving plants. Leela was so outgoing and fun to chat with. Leela also explained every step, showed proof of sterilized equipment and jewelry and completed the piercing before I could even flinch. I highly recommend this studio!

I got my first tattoo from Sunshine and she made it to be the most comfortable setting for me. Her design that she drew for me was exactly what I was looking for and I absolutely love it. There is jot a day that I do not look at it. The colours are vibrant and the line work is perfection. I definitely recommend this place to go to for a tattoo. To me I said to myself that I would only get one tattoo but here I am now ready for my second one and cannot wait to see the new drawing that I am sure will be just as good as my first.

I took my (almost 15) daughter to see Leela for a 2nd lobe earring. The experience was wonderful. Leela explained everything to my daughter and kept her calm. All equipment and materials were in original packaging and Leela showed my daughter how each package hadn't been opened yet as well as the expiry date. The piercing went smoothly and painlessly. Love the overall atmosphere and welcoming crew as well. If I could give 10 stars I would.
