CBS Masonry

CBS Masonry recently did a project for me involving replacing the poured concrete pathways on our property with brick pavers, installing a 10 foot diameter circular patio (brick pavers again) in our side garden, and fixing up our rear basement entry way (which looked awful), with new steps, pavers on the ground, and a skimming on the concrete to make it look better. We got a reasonable estimate, and the project started when they said it would. The team (Simon, Andrew, and Lucas) were fantastic. Most importantly, the work they did was top notch. For the project, I had a pretty clear idea in mind of what I wanted, but knew nothing of the technical issues. I had to have several discussions with Simon about how to make my vision work, and Simon was terrific; he was patient (I had many requirements!), accommodating, and helpful on collaborating with the design. The pathway that they laid involved many, many cuts, because I wanted it to curve and I wanted it laid on a diagonal. And with all the modifications, Ashley, the guy running the show, was very good at communicating with me throughout the process, and at the other end of the phone pretty quickly when I had a question or wanted to make a change. And Andrew did a fantastic job of our back entrance – what a transformation! The whole team was polite, respectful, and friendly. Every day, they cleaned up the site. We have had so many positive comments from passing neighbors about how great it all looks. It all turned out even more beautiful than I hoped. Thanks to the whole team for helping to get the dream I had in my head become a reality!

We were very pleased with the flagstone that CBS Masonry added to our outdoor stairs and multi-levelled patios. Given the size of the job, the team worked at our home for five weeks. They were highly professional, pleasant to interact with, and committed to getting a large job done in a timely fashion. The team took great care in their work and we quickly felt at ease in trusting their judgements. Several of our neighbours commented on how pleasant it was to interact with the CBS team over the weeks that they were at our property. CBS Masonry rebuilt our chimney a couple of weeks ago and we were very pleased with the work they did. Our new chimney looks great! Ashley and his team are very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable and were very helpful in explaining all aspects of the project as it progressed. The job was completed within the timeframe and budget as per the contract and I would highly recommend this company to others considering this type of work.

Our experience with Adrian and the crew from CBS was outstanding. The quality of their work is exceptional and they were a complete pleasure to do business with throughout the project. From the outset their communication was excellent. Through the duration of the job they stuck to the timeline they had committed to and the fellows doing the work were always a pleasure to have on the property. Each day at the end of work the fellows cleaned the entire job site so that nothing was dirty or in the way, and at the conclusion of the job they left the property and jobsite spotless. CBS was top notch from start to finish. I highly recommend them!

This is the second time we have hired CBS Masonry for upgrades on the exterior of our house. The first was to redo the front walkway which was uneven & needed freshening up. The second was to lay a new patio & walkway integrating into an existing path. The Sims brothers & their team are amazing to work with - creative, collaborative, tidy, honest, on-time & the work is exemplary.We are thrilled with the results on both projects & would highly recommend them for any masonry work. We hired Ash and crew to re set some existing granite stones and lay down some crush gravel in preparation for new raised vegetable beds down the side of our house in Oak Bay. Despite being extremely busy they fit us in very quickly and in our opinion did an outstanding job. The CBS crew was fast and efficient while being extremely professional and curtious. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would definitely recommend CBS Masonry to anyone looking to have rock work done on their property. CBS Masonry did a beautiful job for us and I am 100% satisfied with CBS during the extensive driveway renovation right up to this current day.The team was awesome, the best crew and contractor I’ve ever dealt with. They arrived every day until completion, no delays whatsoever. The job site was kept professional and cleaned up at the end of each day.Communication between Ash, his crew and myself was outstanding, there was no issues or disputes to ever deal with, including the number of last minute design changes that affected the overall bill.
