Plato's Closet Edmonton West

Quick easy and painless drop offs. Took in two bags of clothes. Waited 10 minutes and they texted to let me know it was ready for pickup. I sold three items for 12.50. :D so happy!

This place is a joke. Young staff too busy on their phones to assist you. Brought huge basket of almost brand new name brand clothing, waited over an hour to have them sort it, only to be told there was nothing they would take and they were too over stocked anyway" . maybe someone should have mentioned that before I wasted my time for NOTHING!!! don't waste your time with this one."

Ok so I don’t want to be that person, I like Plato’s closet but the amount of dust and dirt on the floor is way too much, they’re people sneezing and coughing. If you drop a piece of clothing, it’ll be absolutely covered in dust. I understand this is a secondhand store, but I believe having some of the workers broom/vacuum often is necessary because that’s not a healthy environment for the workers or shoppers.

I’ve came here a few times to sell items and always had a decent experience. But last week I was in with two bags of clothing, they bought what I assumed were most of my items and handed me my bags back. Upon checking the bags in my car, it appeared I had been given a couple of items back belonging to someone else. Now I question what happened to the items of mine that they didn’t take? The whole thing felt very sketchy and now I’m concerned that I was short changed and/or some of my items were stolen. With no ability to actually find out what happened, I don’t think I’ll buy or sell here again. This seems unprofessional and unethical at best and illegal at worst.

Very good selection, very busy on a Saturday morning. Better prices than Goodwill! Would recommend as top thrift store.

Awful service, I wanted two hours for my clothes to be sorted through and I didn’t receive any notification that they were done, had to go in myself only to find they did not take a single item of clothing. I waited for two hours for no reason because I was never notified. none of the teen girls who work there seem to have any idea how to handle business. Extremely slow and inattentive to customers. Will not be coming back, this experience ruined Plato’s for me. Thanks

Rude children that work here. Which is cool, kids need to work too. But don’t roll your eyes at customers to your coworkers. Yes I’m talking about the guy with the hat, glasses, and silver fingernails working this evening. I don’t need my $7 for 50 items, won’t be returning. Most of these reviews are accurate! Poor service!

Last week I was selling my clothing at one of the Edmonton locations. I brought 2 bags and wanted to sell both, and when I got the text that the clothing was processed the employees informed that they lost one of my bags and unfortunately that bag contained my branded clothing.As someone who has been referred to Plato's for the first time and wanted to try the company out, this was an incredibly disappointing experience for me as the employees have no compensation to make up for their loss of my bag. I believe that this is extremely unfair considering that I never got my clothing back and there was absolutely no compassion from the team on their error.I would like to know if there could be an investigation of my items at that location of could make up for the loss of my articles.

Worst experience. They lost one of my bags with my very expensive items in there and basically no care was shown to me. Just blank faces staring at me with monotone voices. Pretty sure they stole one of my bags, I wouldn’t be surprised. The energy was off for sure and I had a feeling not to go there, but anyway, I hope they realize stealing from customers is bad karma. Definitely not going back and would not recommend to even my worst enemy.
