Coulter K9

Sam and the Coulter K9 are amazing. Just over a month ago the idea of having my easily excitable and hyper active pup off leash and also bringing her to public places, felt impossible. After their 4 week board and train program she has demonstrated incredible self control and now has the freedom to be off leash and go many places with me - stress free. Sam did a fantastic job helping us with our rescue Belgian Malinois dog. He became quite reactive on the leash and hadn’t learned any basic commands when we brought him home as a 1 year old. Sam did a great job doing some basic training with us to work through the reactivity and kennel training and then took him on a 3 week board and train program. He has come back a different dog! Indifferent to other dogs on our walk and generally better behaved around them, calmer in the house and more in tune with the heel command, and Sam and his team did a lot of work on recall which we are now continuing. Highly recommend Sam and his program!

Sam is incredible! Such a great person, professional and so amazing with dogs. My partner and I had been struggling with our 1.5 year old dog, Sullivan, since getting him as he pulled on leash, barked and lunged at both strangers and dogs. But after just three one on one sessions with Sam, Sully has been walking in a heel position and ignores other dogs and people when we walk. We actually enjoy going for walks with him now! We recently had an incredible experience with Sam and his team's board and train program. Our husky/akita mix had been causing us a lot of trouble with his aggressive behavior, and previous training programs in town had only worsened his reactivity, despite us clearly communicating his needs beforehand. We were at our wits' end when we decided to give Sam's program a try.In just four weeks, the progress we witnessed was nothing short of astounding. We now feel so much more confident when taking our dog out in public, as we can actually enjoy nice walks in pleasant places instead of being confined to isolated alleyways to avoid other dogs. This program truly gave us and our beloved pet our lives back, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone facing similar challenges. Sam and his team have truly made a positive impact on our lives, and we are grateful for their expertise and dedication.

We recently did a 2 week board & train program for our girl Millie & were so glad we did!! We couldn't leave her alone before due to her separation anxiety and walking her on a leash was a nightmare but thanks to Sam & his team shes so much better

Sam is so knowledgeable, patient and outgoing. From the first introduction and explaining all of our options to the hands on learning and confidence for not only our dog but us as well. Sam's knowledge allows him to be flexible and adapt to the dogs needs instead of a one size fits all approach. It was a bonus having Dexter and Angel to practice our techniques in a controlled environment. We would highly recommend Sam to anyone and look forward to future classes and learning opportunities.

Sam is literally a miracle worker. I was referred by a friend and thought our 2 reactive/aggressive protective farm dogs would have no hope moving into a congested neighbourhood. I was so worried that it would end badly as they have never been socialized and have no manners walking on leash and would go nuts at the sight of anyone but Sam was reassuring that they would be able to be trained and that there was hope for them. Within 1 session they were 100% walking on a leash around people, and within 3 sessions they are almost 100% better in every aspect. We even got a compliment walking them as they heal and are so controlled, which I thought could never happen. Sam really has a talent and knows what he is doing. Anyone with any type of training needs but especially reactive/aggressive dogs know there is hope with Sam. We can’t thank you enough!

Sam did a wonderful job with our 5 month old Bullmastiff puppy Molly. She was enrolled in a 3 week board and train program to work on basic obedience . She had leash issues as well as recall issues. Sam and Kaitlin worked wonders with her. I would strongly recommend Coulter K9 to anyone to help with their dogs. Fabulous experience!

Sam and his team are absolutely incredible! I've had my girl for 4 years, and for 4 years, she has been a nightmare on a leash. I was embarrassed to take her for a walk, and hiking with her was awful if we came across another dog on a skinny trail. I would always have to holler out to other hikers that I had a reactive dog so that we could pass with caution. After 4 sessions and a reactivity class with Sam, I am now confident walking Whiskey, and I even look forward to it. Going to busy walking paths no longer gives me anxiety, and I can't wait for hiking season!Sam, I can't thank you enough!1,000,000% I would recommend!

I highly recommend using CoulterK9 for training! I have a English Bulldog who is difficult to walk and was showing aggression. But after bringing her to Sam we never have those issues! I also learned a lot to implement on my own. You wont be disappointed!
