In September 2021, I purchased three different kinds of Halva Mini's: Classic, Chocolate Mousse and Pistachio. To my shock and horror, when I bit into my first pistachio snack bar, I found a large piece of pistachio shell. I was very lucky to have not broken a tooth, or have a child choke on it, as it was quite large. I immediately contacted the company, and the owner Mark Stein replied promptly. His response was one of equal horror, stating: This is the first time we've ever heard of such a circumstance. I can assure you this is a one off...I will gladly refund your pistachio bag AND send you an additional one as a gift and a few other Halvana items as token (sic) of our appreciation for you being a customer." He went on to say in a later email "I'm shocked this happened! Totally understand your feelings. I hope I can make this right." To date (June 27
