I came from a dispensational baptist background and by the grace of God was led to a church that preaches the doctrines of grace.This church believes in the teachings of John Calvin (and by extension St. Augustine) -To sum it up simply, TULIP.Total depravityUnconditional electionLimited atonementIrresistible gracePerseverance of the saintsTo get a good summary of these biblical doctrines refer to the The Heidelberg Catechism, The Canons of Dort and The Belgic Confession, otherwise known as 3 Forms of Unity.In terms of what to expect for a service scripture is read and Psalms are sung in response - in other words God speaks to us through his word and we respond by singing his word back to him.The 10 commandments are read as to what God expects of us and knowing we cannot keep them, God's grace is made known to us through the preaching and exposition of the word.After service expect communion of the saints during coffee and snacks, followed by lunch then a Bible study.While no church is perfect as long as sinful man is involved, I will say the triune God and his word are honored here.
