I wish this YMCA would do subsidized memberships for low-income people like other locations.Just became homeless last week and just wanted to find a place to shower so I could show up to work clean. Lost all my money and was willing to give my last 50$ left for a membership but they still wouldn't help me with a membership (costs $60+) so I went to the Bradley Center in Vaughn. Which may be almost 1h out of my way. But at least I can show up to work presentable.But to their credit they did let me take a 1 time only shower which I really needed. Just a shame how a charity would turn down someone in need.

It's a great environment to work out in, but there are a lack of gym equipment. It can sometimes take up to 15 minutes for a bench to be free.

Bought membership here but regretted it. Staff is limited. Staff were also easily distracted and I witnessed staff chatting in a break room" when there was a shortage of staff. They didn't even try to help! Activities are fine

Pros:- great for powerlifting/bodybuilding- Has an open space for stretches, core, plyo, etcCons:- when theres an open floor with no programs theyll kick you out even though the program starts in 30 minutes- Half the staff looks like they want to go home- Only activities are biking pickleball badminton- inconsistent scheduleOverall:Dont come here for anything other than weight lifting, family time, or yoga

I have joined this YMCA many years ago when it first open. I have been back to this YMCA in recent month and it started to show its age. The cement board on the facade is cracking and some shower heads are leaking. The place is spacious and well equipped. The pool is also great.

YMCA Markham is one of the best place as an everyday family Gym. I met one staff Hassan today, what a wonderful person, young, energetic and very respectful individual, assisted me about gym equipments. Keep it hassan.

this place is not good for anyone, staffs are super lazy and mean ‼️‼️when I asked them for help they just take me MORE THAN 30 mins!!!! What kinda service is this????? Paying for like 50 bucks for dump and trash services? Hell come on this place is DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE and I will NOT pay for next month’s membership ANYMORE ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Great place for almost anything. Came here for my daughter's classmates birthday party. They sectioned off the gym and set up a bouncy castle and mini bikes on the other side people played basketball and played badminton. There is a workout area upstairs along with a walking/running track, stretching area, weights and elliptical machines and stationary equipment. Staff were helpful and polite, had us in the right area for the party and everything was awesome. Well maintained and very clean, well lit so everyone can see the track and other equipment.

The person call Andrea Muller is a racist. Me and my boys were playing basketball, and she let us leave with a very rough attitude. And finally a face with eyes rolled back.
