Singer Castle
One has to take a boat to reach Dark Island and the castle, which we boarded in Alex Bay. Our tickets cost a little over $40 for the boat and castle tour. It was interesting and the setting is lovely. Unfortunately, we toured after the staff had decorated for Halloween...and I felt the number of them distracted from the interior. Parts of the grounds and castle look a bit worn and would benefit from maintenance, but it's still an attraction worth visiting.

Singer Castle
This place was amazing. It takes a 1 hour boat ride to get there but it's beautiful. Our boat guide was a very friendly and very corny old man. He was hilarious.They're very efficient in getting tour groups through the castle, the tour is very informative and doesn't take very long. And the castle is beautiful with a fascinating history. The only complaint I have is that you can't wander on your own and so you're always stuffed into rooms with 20 other people and so it's a little hard to enjoy the views. But otherwise it was a perfect visit.

Singer Castle
We really enjoyed the Singer Castle tour! The guided tour provided history and insight into the property, it's design, construction, and caretakers throughout the years. There's tons of actual decor and furnishings from the castle's history still present. While Boldt Castle gets the majority of the attention in the 1000 Islands, it was never finished and what you see today is largely an interpretation of what it might have been like if it was completed. Singer Castle shows what was actually there.

Singer castle was better than expected! The tour guide was awesome and did a good job explaining everything. Took the seadoo from the Ontario side and the dock hands were great.

Our tour guide was great, personable, engaging. The Singer Castle is beautiful. It's so nice to see the preservation. While this wasn't the original plan (Boldt Castle was closed for the season) this was well worth the visit.

Singer Castle
An amazing place to tour. If you can do the overnight stay, I highly recommend it. It is definitely an experience you won't forget. Beautiful grounds and an incredible castle. Antiques, secret passageways, suits of armor, incredible views, and much more. The caretaker and all the staff we came in contact with were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Made the stay so special. Covid19 procedures in place. Felt extremely comfortable our whole stay.

This was a great tour! The tour guide was very informative, and the castle and grounds were beautiful. The secret passageways were probably my favorite part.

Amazing experience. Tour guide had so much knowledge and led us on a very informed tour. Beautiful architecture, art, and history. Highly recommended to those who enjoy learning about the history of the castle as well as the Lawrence river.

Lovely experience with out guided tour here, so many interesting fun facts about the castle itself and the people that lived there! Our guide Steve(I think that was his name) did a lovely job bringing each room to life and adding little tidbits about life for the Bourne's and those who owned it afterwards!If you're looking for a good way to fill a few hours I'd highly recommend this tour (and Uncle Sam's boat tours to get you there!)
