Papaya Hut Restaurant
Dinner combos have great value, you get a chicken satay, a spring roll, salad, rice and an item from your choice from an interval of the menu. My absolute favourite is the ginger beef, but the squid with hot sauce is also great!It is usually quiet, a los of people order to go. Excellent underrated spot!I recently tried the spicy shrimp soup, and it is very good.

Ordered via DoorDash. Taste is actually OK. But..., why would any restaurant make curry, not providing rice? It is very rich, and we end up having 3 heavy entree without a plain rice. Recommend to have add on option, or at least note to customer that it doesn’t come with rice, so we are aware. (Delivery missing utensil).

I got the food delivered after one hour and it was the most pathetic food that I had ever eaten in Vancouver. Both the dishes , noodles and pad Thai tasted the same and was very oily. I had to pick noodles from the oil. Disgusting food. Will never recommend. Chefs should learn how to cook .

I just discovered this little gem while visiting my friend near Kits. I ordered a ginger beef and green curry which both were delicious and good portions. The price is very reasonable and the service was excellent. Thank you to the lovely owners. Will definitely be back.

Early dinner so restaurant was empty. I ordered the eggplant basil w/ chicken. I am a big fan of this dish and pretty much try it at every Thai restaurant I go to…so needless to say, comparatively speaking, Papaya Hut’s version didn’t cut the mustard. Not even close. Eggplant was scarce…they added mushrooms and broccoli (???) and the sauce was dull, flavourless and more like a thick Western gravy. With a side of rice this gem added up to almost $30.Despite the fact I was the only diner, at no time did the proprietor (?)/ server come over to see how everything was.Highly recommend they go to either Bangkok City (West 4th) or Thai Basil. ( Commercial Dr. ) to have a taste of how it’s done right.Don’t recommend & won’t be going back.

Sadly, the food looks nothing like the photos on the menu. The Pad Thai was basically noodles in watery ketchup, no beansprouts, the worst Thai food I have ever had. The crispy tofu dish had more red pepper than over deep-fried tofu pieces. I rarely walk out of a restaurant in disgust and I did with this one. I knew this restaurant was mediocre, but didn't expect this bad. We won't go back.

I had the cashew chicken with rice and a spring roll. Give me a very yummy lunch for $13 is a treat. The place is clean, friendly, and quick and easy.

I’ve been coming to Papaya Hut for years, mostly for their lunch specials which are a great deal and available weekdays 12-5 pm. The green curry chicken is my go-to, comes with rice and a spring roll, and is delicious. I think it’s a family-run business and I’m happy to support them. Here’s an updated menu including the lunch specials.

Amazing Pad Thai with sweet staff and cozy place!I came here with a big group of people right before the closing time however the lady was so welcoming. Foods were tasty and big portions! Highly recommended;)

A small neighbourhood Thai restaurant with good food at very reasonable prices. Very friendly and efficient service. I orders the chicken with basil leaves for lunch which was delicious!
