The Painted Tree
If i could add five more stars to this review I would. I wanted a very special photo framed for a very special person. Darlene has an incredible eye" when it comes to getting the right frame with the right matte and glass. I actually cried when it came time to pick it up. It was a bloody masterpiece! The receiver of the gift said "its exactly as I imagined it to look like" and hung it on the wall as soon as it was unwrapped. Highly recommend this talented lady... shes amazing."

Love this store! Bought my favourite brushes from there. I explained what I was looking for, the lady recommended these brushes, and they ended up being the best brushes I’ve had! So they really know their stuff. I wish it was closer to me.. but I will definitely go back when I visit Cobourg again.

The Painted Tree
The staff at the Painted Tree are knowledgeable and friendly. When they are unable to answer a question, they do their best to point the customer in the right direction. Always a pleasant shopping experience. Such a lovely environment, and wonderful small business. Can't say enough about the owner, she goes above and beyond for the needs of the customer. All policies are clear and staff are respectful when dealing with returns or exchanges -- especially if the customer has lost a receipt (oops!!). I love shopping here and pop in daily to see Steve the very smiley in-store dog! LOVE the Painted Tree, definitely a favourite of the downtown Cobourg small businesses, will definitely recommend to all artists and aspiring artists!

I was very impressed with the Art Store, The Painted Tree. The Owner was very cheerful and helpful, when my wife asked her for some Framing advice. The final product was professionally completed and looks very impressive on our Living Room wall. Furthermore, the cost of our Framing was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Just had some framing done by Darlene at The Painted Tree in Cobourg. I was really impressed by the customer service and the end result. When I went in, I wasn’t sure what would look best but she walked me through the process and made some great suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of. When I picked it up, I was thrilled with the result! The price was great too. I think because she’s an artist she was able to see possibilities that I wouldn’t have. The store is wonderful too. Lots of art products and supplies!

This is an amazing store! I'm from Toronto but was in Cobourg for Christmas and forgot a present that was full of art supplies. I thought I would have to go back to Toronto but thought to check if Cobourg had a fine arts store - and I found The Painted Tree! I found absolutely everything I wanted there (and more!). It has a wonderful range of very good quality materials - for professional artists and amateurs - at really good prices. The store is also really beautiful - a space you won't want to leave! And the owner is just lovely : ).

Love this store ! Great framing. Sophisticated tricks are used to preview your packaging (I never saw before not even in Montreal). Great selection of art necessities and more.. like goldleaf liquid I used to buy in Savannah School of Art. Very informative and helpful lady ! She's an artist as well. A happy cocooning is guaranteed from this store.

We are so lucky to have a wonderful store like Painted Tree around the corner from where we live. Darlene the owner is so fantastic to work with. Once we explained what we were looking for, she helped us narrow it down to the most perfect frames for these three special piecesI also buy all my art supplies at Painted Tree, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend going to see Darlene for all your crafty art needs!
