I stood at the edge of the river gazing out at the majestic sea of leaves hugging the hillside. Then a pigeon flew over my head and dropped a surprise on my shoulder. It was a nice reminder that even when surrounded by the beauty of nature we can’t always avoid life’s little surprises. This place is a hidden gem and a must see

Amazing park and trail. The trail is well maintained and scenic. Awesome place for a family hike or hike with friends. I have been here numerous times and never get tired of the park or the trail.

Today, we went to Riverwood Trails. It was such a pleasant day and feels like 23 C. We had a lot of fun walking around and exploring the greenery around. you can also ride a bike there. There is also a barn and a lot of space for parking.

Definitely a great place to enjoy nature. There is an area on one of the paths where you can feed the birds. They come right up and eat from your hand. You just have to be patient! We took Yellow trail. Tough to ride a bike through but we saw a few cyclists. On the path there is the credit river and we saw a few folks fishing. It's beautiful during fall because of all the colorful leaves. Parking is a problem though especially during a weekend. It's always packed so I'd suggest you get there early morning.

This is a beautiful place! Omg, it's not just paths and trails, it's got deep huge valleys and high hills, you'll get a wee bit of a workout walking up and down the valleys that's for sure. The valley scenery is right out of the movies too! Feels like Deliverance"! Lol! Go watch it

Beautiful park for long walks and bike rides. Trails are well maintained this summer and the flower arrangement at the entrance is very soothing. I highly recommend this spot. Well done city of Mississauga

The Riverwood trails, MississaugaThese group of trails running along the north banks of Credit river are the hidden gems of Mississauga. With the start point and parking on Burnhamthrope road one can take the Red trail or Culham trail which extends up and down river. The woods here are a heaven for bird watching and photography. Trails are well used, safe for kids, dogs and bike friendly. Dont miss out on the Chappell house and old wagon located at the very end of Riverwood park lane.

Fantastic trail with an almost 4 kilometers loop. Nice for a little hike during winter and summer days. Parking is available (although it gets busy) and if you prefer to extend your hike, you can easily continue on connected trails. Trail leads to the rivers banks and is great for fishing and photography. Local wildlife can be seen along the trail as well. Parts of the trail are pretty steep and in winter it gets icy, but is definitely worth traversing. If you are into highway/traffic photography, the trip provides great vantage points at the 403.
