Amazing service and experience that made me glad I didn't shop online with a big box store, and instead visited in-store. I went in only knowing that the person I was gifting to was interested in a Newtonian Telescope, and no other product knowledge. Ray was very helpful, informative and patient; he took the time to explain the different telescopes (incl price and their pros & cons) parts, specs, and potential upgrades until I was able to select the right telescope for my needs. He also gave me a lot of tips and info on useful apps and books for a beginner star gazer and even info about the dark sky preserve I was going to visit. Amazing customer service from a guy who is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the stars and the job that he does.

My order is khn7954web.I ordered Celestron Nextstar 6SE pre owned and other stuff. They told me that optic and mount are in excellent condition, but when I received it I noticed the scope optic is extremely dirty and mount is broken, my husband sent video and pictures to technician. We want to return it. When we ordered the scope they told us that it is possible. But now they refused us.I and my husband from Ukraine. The manager refused us because we are newcomers and not good in English.I ask you all not to buy in this shop. They lie by phone. They will send you broken stuff. They do not respect people and want to make money on them.Russia take our home and Khan Scope take our dream to have a Scope.It's a first time when we met such lier in Canada.Update on Knan's Scope response:The manager continues to blame the customers for everything and refuses any responsibility. The telescope has not been disassembled, all the problems are visible through the service window. You sent the brokened product and are trying to blame us for it. This once again proves that you are running a dishonest business.Also your rating and reviews show that not only we were deceived. Unfortunately we didn't read the reviews before buying. We could not even think that someone in Canada could make such a business, take advantage of the fact that the buyer is in another province or does not know the language well.

Have to admit that I was wary of ordering based on some of the reviews here on Google...but Khan Scope was the only option for a telescope that I really wanted to order. Had a few questions that I emailed the store after closing and Ray took the time to respond to me later in the evening, long after work hours. Ordered my scope right away and it arrived in Halifax in just a couple of business days. Ray was attentive..gave me good info...and I'm very happy with the end result.Sounds like some of the negative reviews may come from people who are expecting a bit too much...especially from a very specialized retail dealer. I'm happy and would definitely consider Khan Scope again...given this experience and a pretty impressive inventory of product.

I received exemplary service from Ray from Khan Scopes. It was my first time visiting the store, and I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. I had an old pair of theatre binoculars I needed to get collimated/repaired. The job was done faster than originally anticipated, which I was grateful for as I wanted to use them at an upcoming show. Bruno, the tech/expert did a fantastic job with the binoculars. I am happy to be able to use and cherish the binoculars for years to come. I really appreciated the care and expertise taken with their work, and will certainly revisit and recommend Khan Scope Centre for any and all future scopes and repairs.

Had a great experience ordering from this place. My order was ready for me less than 24hrs after I ordered it. The person that came out to give me my order was really friendly and we had a good conversation about the hobby. I would definitely order again from here.

Do not support this business for binocular collimation. After a 6 month wait mine were returned with the exact same vertical diplopia that they were brought in with. After looking thru them outside the store and telling Ray that I was not satisfied with the shoddy repair and quality control, he looked thru them and claimed that they were fixed. A dishonest business man. Do not pre-pay for this service, better yet, avoid like the plague.

Small rundown store, with limited selection, dusty looking stock and terrible service. We stood in the store for a while with every intention to buy but we were literally never even acknowledged and never asked if we needed any help. We wanted to support local but online is looking like a much better option.(Response to store reply)This kind of reply is exactly why you have the worst reviews. We were plenty patient, but we may as well have been ghosts. Not even a Hello" or "I'll be right with you". You'd think as a business owner with an old business on the brink of being run down

Went to Khan Scopes to drop off my 8” CPC telescope for service for corrector plate cleaning and collimation. I will be doing a two part honest review, based on customer service and work performed on my telescope, on this establishment.Here is the customer service review as this is the only part I gave to go by for now. I had emailed Khan Scopes to inquire on services performed for telescopes and prices. Quick and easy communication via email. Read reviews prior to dropping off and I was surprised of how much negative reviews this place had received. I was a bit reluctant to give this establishment my business based on negative reviews but I decided to give it a shot. Upon commuting to Khan Scopes I was stuck in 401 traffic at 5:45pm, called Khan scopes to let them know I was on my way, was running late and will be there 5-10 mins after store closes at 6pm, Ray said he would wait. Luckily for me I arrived at 6pm. Upon arrival, I spoke to Ray on what services I wanted done to my scope and he said no problem, looked at the price list on the wall and told me the price. I had mentioned to Ray that the quote was cheaper in email than it was in person, he said he only quoted me for 1 service in email. I mentioned to him that in email I had 2 services that I wanted a quote for and at the end he honoured the quote that was stated in email.Overall, my customer service with Ray and Khan Scopes as a whole has been pleasant. Ray said he would wait for my arrival after store hours (which he didn’t have to) and honoured the original quote given in email (again which he didn’t have to). Can’t wait to see how my telescope performs after services performed. All I have to say is the that I’m beyond satisfied on the collimation and cleaning of my scope. Stars are nice and round any images are super sharp! I have to say that Anthony, has gone above and beyond with helping me get my images to another level. He is super knowledgeable, patient and his customer service is above and beyond. He truly cares about customers and will take the time to listen and find a logical and swift resolution. Anthony thank you so much for all your help!Clear skies!

What an amazing experience this was for my family and I. Ray and Mike were truly a pleasure to work with (and learn from)!! Knowledgable, and super friendly. We can’t wait to get our new telescope out and begin exploring the sky!
