U-Haul Moving & Storage at Se Marine Dr

1. The staff is very friendly and helpful.2. The truck we drove is not in good condition, but it is drivable.3. The price is reasonable for us.4. You may need to park your car on the street or have someone drop you off and pick you up. No parking spot is provided in their premises.

Honestly super happy with the customer service and everything. Price was pretty reasonable only paid like $40 all in and it was pretty easy with all the mobile pick up and stuff.

I had a tow hitch installed here. Overall good experience with the service but I needed to wait on the line a lot to make the reservation. I was told that after the reservation I will get a text to confirm the appointment. I never got the text an I tried to call and make sure that the appointment is confirmed but no luck! I went there anyways and fortunately I got the hitch installed.

We had scheduled an 830am pick up, which was then bumped to this location at 1030am, then to a self-service location nearby.Arrive at what was a weird self-service phone check-in garbage dump carpark to find three similar vans. While waiting for their online verification to finish (took about 15 minutes!) two other renters dropped their vans off and boxed in two of the trucks and left. Guess what! One of those trucks was ours.We spent roughly 45 minutes waiting on hold while trying to get help. We were told that absolutely no one at this u-haul location could help us if we were to drive here. We were asked to wait 10 minutes for someone to come and help. Guess what! That didn’t happen.Another couple have been here waiting for an hour. They called and were also told 10-15 minutes. It’s been an hour now. There is literally no end in sight.We have to unpack an entire storage unit today, we have to drive 3.5 hours to another storage unit today, we have a hotel booked, it’s peak summer, and we are standing in the sun next to dumpsters and our inaccessible (but completely paid for) u-haul. Oh, and we also discovered the vehicles keys are no where to be found.Don’t do it. Don’t give this unaccountable, unresponsive, unreasonable and unhelpful cabal of do-nothing jerks your cash - especially if you are trying to do any of the following:- adhere to a schedule- move goods in a van or truck- have to move from point a to b for any reason whatsoever- use services you have paid for- enjoy a stress-free moving experience(No - they haven’t offered us a discount for the delay.)

The worst location in terms of customer service and availability. They messed up our move so badly, which led us to being in hot water with landlord for delays and extension. They caused a huge delay to their own recommended movers by many hours, as a result of which our storage boxes were not delivered. This caused a huge mess with our moving schedule, work schedule, landlord, painters and new tenants.During the busiest move weekend of the month, they closed their warehouse at 5pm, did not return our calls the entire afternoon before closing and did not make arrangements with movers to pickup the boxes on the same day as scheduled a month ago. We had to go through so much hassle and suffering due to their lack of service and their ability to simply answer their phone calls.

The girl at the counter was VERY helpful and our van was clean. It had a rubber mat in the back which proved to be very useful for keeping our furniture stable in transport.

Worst customer service of any U-Haul I’ve ever been to. Made a reservation for a 5x9 trailer with a ramp months in advance. When we checked in, we found out it had been switched to a 6x12 trailer. We were travelling by ferry so we could not accommodate the larger trailer. Manager was unhelpful and could not answer any questions. She could not answer basic questions like how much collision costed vs. how much the deductible was. Front desk staff were rude and dismissive. They made changes to our reservation without notifying us which caused problems in our trip.

I was absolutely appalled by the bait and switch scam that got pulled on me. I booked a truck online, and when I showed up I was told there wasn’t one available, they would give me another (the same style of truck I may add) but was given a price three times what I had agreed to. I spoke to several agents but no one could tell me what happened, they just kept telling me I could accept this or they would cancel my reservation entirely. Unacceptable.

June 27th 2023My 6x12 trailer broke ½ way through the move. At the 2 hour mark, 2 hours of the 6 hours I booked.I tried to call the 1070 SE Marine Dr, Vancouver BC V5X2V4 location but they wouldn't answer the phone. They would sometimes say quick please hold" and never come back. In the meantime the clock ticked and the manpower I hired expired in time and they left. The truck (for pulling the trailer) I paid a person for left. I called numerous other locations but the format for U-haul Canada seems to be to ignore phone calls.I end up calling Georgia USA U-Haul and they arrange a call to U-Haul Road-side assistance in Vancouver Canada. A flat-bed tow truck pulls the trailer with all my belongings in it onto the flatbed. The tow truck drives to my second location and dumps the broken trailer there. My belongings spent the night outside in not the best of locations in Vancouver. The next day I hired more manpower to unload.1070 SE Marine Dr
