First time going today for my dog Lola and was very happy with the experience! Was just for her shots and an eye infection but the staff and Dr. Zak were all very friendly and helpful ! Very professional and felt comfortable leaving my dog in the hands of them. I am happy to have found a vet that is warm and welcoming who truly cares for animals . I checked it out based on all the good reviews and i am so happy I did as all the positive reviews were true ! Thank you brooker ridge.

Took my dog asap after a dog bite wounds. The vet and staff were so kind to my dog, even though he was anxious and in pain. Very thorough, explained the bill well and fairly priced. One of the best vet experiences I've ever had! 100% recommend.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hospital. I am a first time pet owner and got my kitten Berry. She ate something and we took her to the 404 emergency. But we could not afford the pricy bills($6000). I was in pure panic mode since I just came to Canada and I did not buy insurance for her. I took her here and Dr. Zak and his staff were amazing (with both Berry and me). Surprisingly found there was a girl speaking Mandarin (who helped us a lot）. They checked her out, went over her x-ray with me, and discussed my options. When I decided to go ahead with surgery, Dr. Zak arranged for an emergency surgery the same day at a very reasonable price and a great and professional animal hospital. My heart was broken that Berry had to go through this, but she was as good as new and getting into mischief again in no time.Anytime I have any questions or near emergency situations (and there were a few), Dr. Zak and his team are always wonderful, very helpful and patient. Brooker Ridge Animal Hospital has a patient for life in Berry and I would certainly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of a vet. Especially if you are Chinses like me looking for a animal hospital in this area, this is absolutely the best choice! Dr. Zak and his team are so professional and supportive, never let you down.Thank you for taking great care of my kitten.

My name is Milo and I'm an 11 year old blonde tabby from Aurora. I met Dr. Zak a few months ago when I was feeling under the weather and my parents took me in late one Saturday night. Dr. Zak and the Brooker Ridge staff stayed 2 hours past closing to run some tests and make sure I was feeling okay before they sent me home. Since then, I've gotten to visit Dr. Zak and the team many more times and they're always so nice to me! Dr. Zak and my parents have really been determined to find out why I haven't been feeling well and it finally seems like I'm on the mend! (after many tests and a few scary needles) Thanks to all my friends at Brooker Ridge Animal Hospital!

Very professional and caring veterinarian. My dog Jack is always happy and wagging his tail when coming into the door since he was a puppy. Dr. Zak and his staff are very compassionate and friendly. I highly recommend this clinic.

I cannot thank Dr.Zak and his team enough for saving my cat’s life. My cat had gotten into a freak accident where he got impaled by a thick shard from a broken vase. We tried to stop the bleeding with paper towels and all of them were getting completely soaked in blood within seconds.We immediately called in and drove him to Brooker Ridge Animal Hospital. My cat was hyperventilating so much during the car ride that I thought he was going to die in my arms. When we arrived Dr.Zak took him in without question and quickly started the operation. They were fairly busy that day but they did not give up on my cat, and it turned out my cat had lost over 60% of his body’s blood and the odds were not looking good. But despite all that, they had managed to save his life!!!!At first my cat had lost some feeling in his leg and we were worried that he wouldn’t be able to walk on it normally again, but I was just glad that my cat was alive. He was able to go home that same day with some checkups at the clinic to give him IV fluid to restore his blood loss, dehydration, fix his stitching and disinfect the wound whenever my cat would lick/bite it, etc.And eventually, my cat had regained all feeling in his injured leg and began walking completely normally!!! Now, he runs around and jumps high and climbs things as if nothing had happened at all, and there isn’t even a visible scar left!!!! He is completely healed and his body looks and functions exactly how it did before the accident.It’s a literal miracle, I am very thankful for taking my cat to Brooker Ridge. Dr.Zak is an extremely talented and skilled doctor who knows what he’s doing, he was always very transparent with us and answered all of our questions making sure we fully understood his explanations and left the clinic feeling satisfied and at ease. I would not trust my cat with anyone else.Thank you Dr.Zak!

Myself and co-founder run #theFonzyFund, a non profit organization who help animals whose parents cannot afford EMERGENCY vet care in order to not only save a life but to ensure pets stay with their families.We have now used Dr. Zak and Brooker Ridge Animal Hospital for 3 EMERGENCY check ups and operations. His attention to detail, excellent rates, being very responsive and professional (not to mention caring and willing to answer phone calls after hours, if necessary) make him the reason we will continue to use him and recommend him to others. All of his staff are very kind and polite when answering the phones and never pretend to know things without asking the doctor, first. I, personally, love that. I'd rather wait for an answer than get something they're not sure of.

He provided me with valuable advice on how to care for my dog's specific needs and even gave me some helpful tips on how to train him.When it came time to give my dog a vaccine, Dr. Zak made sure to explain the process to me and was gentle and efficient in administering it. He also gave me some helpful information on what to expect after the vaccine and how to monitor my dog's health.The animal hospital itself was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and professional, and I felt confident that my dog was in good hands during his visit.

I recently took my cat to see Dr. Zak at the local veterinary clinic and I couldn't be happier with the care she received. Dr. Zak was very thorough in his examination and took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand.During the exam, Dr. Zak noticed a small lump on my cat's side that I hadn't even noticed. He recommended a biopsy to determine if it was cancerous or not. I was nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Zak walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. The biopsy came back negative, and I am grateful to Dr. Zak for catching the lump early and providing us with peace of mind.Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Zak and the veterinary clinic to anyone looking for compassionate and competent care for their furry family members.
