Have been shopping here since moving to NS, and I will not be shopping here again. Recently I arrived only to notice an extremely dehumanizing sign about the people panhandling in the parking lot. This sign broke the confidentiality/privacy of those people and was plain cruel. I will not be posting a picture here, because unlike MacKays, I treat people with basic respect.As someone who worked in those group homes for years, yes this pharmacy works closely with the homes, but they do NOT have intimate knowledge of the residents and whether their needs are being met. They simply deliver medication. Very often, the needs of the residents AREN'T met. Their world is so small. Group home living is barely a step above institutionalization, although it is a step in the right direction.All this to say - McKays has proven themselves to lack basic decency, and I will not support them ever again. I was shocked that they would think for a second that what they did is OK.If you're reading this and don't know what I'm talking about - I hope that means they were forced to take the sign down. This is NOT a good business.

I have been shopping here for over 20 years, was always polite and friendly. Lately my small business ad (both legal and moral) gets removed after a couple of days, when I approached the staff they said they do not know who would remove it but would keep an eye out. Well my ad is still removed and I believe it's one of the staff members. Maybe I should start shopping at Walmart or Cost Co instead, where no membership at Cost Co to shop at the Pharmacy. What do you think?.

Even though it’s a small store, they have everything but the kitchen sink—and merchandise isn’t ridiculously marked up like other local drugstores.Everyone is friendly and I’ve never had a prescription take long even when they have to order it in. The post office is also considerably less of a nightmare than elsewhere.My only criticism is that the ATM is no longer 24/7, but not their fault.

Great, old-fashioned customer service at this small neighborhood pharmacy. They do custom compounding, so the pharmacy team really know their stuff. And the home health care person is also super helpful and knowledgeable. It’s a small store but the shelves have a really wide selection of essential and useful items. I love this place.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had at a pharmacy. The pharmasist knew her stuff and shared some useful information with me regarding my health and the compounded prescription I needed. She went the extra mile to call my doctor and share info on the type of blood tests I should be getting with this medication.I would recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional, pleasant, and knowledgable service.

My doctor phoned in a compound prescription on a Monday I called MacKays to make sure he hey had received it I was told 3 to 5 days I went to the store today , Friday, I was at the diner next door They looked then proceeded to tell me the formula had to be ok’d I had my supper then went back I asked who does the compounding Was told the compound pharmacist who works Monday to Friday I asked why my prescription was not even looked at I was told it got pushed to the side . May be ready Tuesday Maybe . So, when it’s a compound for severe pain , it was just pushed aside . Clerk explain d and hat . Once I get the prescription next week , I will NEVER deal with MacKays again First they lied then the pharmacist could not be bothered to fill it Well that’s what I was told Will be over a week before I get it if I do!! This pharmacy was recommended by my physio therapist. Just received a call from the pharmacist and it was someone’s job to contact my doctor tuesday to get the prescription right. She was nice enough to give me something for the weekend Too many cooks and lack of communication is what happened They will try tueday after the long weekend to contact my doctor again . My luck !!

We have been regular customers of the Pharmacy for past 2 years..the staff are absolutely amazing and definitely know their stuff!

I shopped here yesterday and I think they had the friendliest cashier I've ever met. Very welcoming and had lots of suggestions on what to buy.

Love the pharmacy here and the store is great too! Everyone is very helpful and friendly. They have a nice gift section with unique things as well. Definitely recommend it!
