Good experience except none of the plug-ins worked and the first seat I was sitting in didn't lean back. There's a small lever that allows you to rest further back a tiny bit but the handle of that particular seat was stuck. Great staff and they were super helpful in answering any questions I had as a first-time traveller

Nice bus from Port aux Basque to St. John's. Be aware that it's a cash only service - you pay the hostess on the bus. She collects the money while the driver gets the bus down the road. Friendly service. Refreshments on board.

Family operated business. Hard working, experienced staff, excellent service.

Had to use DRL to travel across the island with my 7 year old daughter to take her to day surgery at the Janeway. Will never take DRL again. Bus was very dirty. We were one of the first stops picked up and there was food on the ground, stuffed into the cupholders, and garbage laying around. An intoxicated man got on, sat next to us and was drinking while riding. We had to switch seats once he started talking to my child. He was very disruptive and using inappropriate language while on speaker phone. The driver and attendant were notified and while they spoke to him, he denied drinking so they left him on the bus. They only removed him after he passed out in the aisle 5 hours later. Stayed an extra week in st johns just so we didn't have to take that bus again.

never again will we travel with this bus companythey dont know how to treat people with disabilites very good.emailing the company is useless. ask to speak to a manager. a month later still waiting. so i took the steps in calling the bbb and Coalition of Persons with Disabilities Newfoundland and Labrador and the Premier.

Not bad, just wish it had seatbelts. Also I never use the bathroom because it is usually gross. The prices have skyrocketed. Really hard for a struggling student without a license (medical issues)

I cannot believe this bus service got a 4.3 rating. Now dont get me wrong Attendant and Driver 5 stars! But the condition of this bus is ridiculous. Seats broken couldn't be adjusted, head rest came off in my hand. Very warm,. Fumes from engine to be smelled inside bus. Thank God I'm only going from St. John's to Gander! Would NOT use this mode of transportation if I had to go across the province! Time to invest in some new buses!

I rode the DRL coach service in October 2017 from the ferry terminal at Port-aux-Basques all the way to St. John's, NL. The bus showed up on time, and there were only three passengers, the hostess, and the driver at the start of the trip. We picked up passengers all along the way, and it was nearly full by St. John's, where we arrived on-time!The service was friendly (you buy your ticket on board; cash-only!), and stops were made several times along the way where you could buy food or use the WC. The seats were comfortable, and the hostess even arrange a taxi for us before arrival in St. John's.The scenery was spectacular. What an introduction to Newfoundland! I can highly recommend the DRL Coach service across the island.

We just completed a 15 day tour with Andy Roberts as our driver could not have asked for a more competent and friendly driver. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Andy for making our trip enjoyable. If all of your drivers are as competent and friendly as Andy than you have a great staff.

No identification or Vax pass required to board bus . Aggressive passenger was allow to stay on bus even after being talked to" by the attendant and continued aggressive behavior to other passengers . Would not recommend if you value your safety
