Family day weekend. Poorly maintained. Thankfully a shovel was there so we tried to clear the snow ourselves. Should post on their website

Outdoor fun! The little kids had their regular skates and the bigger kids and grownups rented speed skates for $5 each. It was really cool to try something new, and it wasn't long before we were seeing who could go faster. You have to be careful if it's busy as there are lots of skill levels (and speeds) out there.

The oval is awesome and so much fun. Even for new skaters is a thrilling adventure and a great place for practicing on the 400 meters of natural ice. Totally recommend it and please donate to keep it running for future generations

Thanks to everyone involved for making this oval possible. A Gem in lakefield for all to enjoy. So much work and dedication goes into make this all possible and does not go unnoticed. Thank you!The ice surface is very well maintained and cared for. Perfect outdoor skating. A great place to come alone with friends and family.

Great fun, you can even rent proper speed skates, which do take a bit of getting used to. The volunteers/staff are friendly and very helpful

There isn't much happening here most of the year (unless you like hunting for fossils in the limestone piled at the side of the oval), but it does get quite a bit more interesting when the ice is good, especially during Polar Fest. Check the Facebook page for updates on ice conditions.
